Guess I might as well pop in here (again) - hey everyone! Lusting after GT7 while making PC things work in the meantime on a controller since 3 of my sim rigs all live out on the street and I'm not spending MORE for one without wheels.

Well, gaming laptop for me, and it surprisingly still chugs away at even new releases with low settings which is impressive in and of itself, but plows absolutely everything older with little trouble. Work/backup laptop is no slouch either with Intel Iris, but limited RAM on that one is the bottleneck.

Back then it was a PS4 that would mostly collect dust under my ownership, or a proper gaming laptop that doubles down for work very easily and that decision was all thanks to Monster Hunter finally coming to PC as well, although looking back at it now - I cut myself off from GT7 (and IMO the only way to play it is on a ps5 anyway, but skipped getting one for the same reason).

  • Where are you from? I’m from the paradise! I’m from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
  • When did you start playing racing games? Long time ago! Since I was a young kid, my first racing game was need for speed the first one. On PC
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? Yes I do! Right now I use a CSL Elite by Fanatec with V3 pedals and shifter but I’m thinking change the base to a DD
  • What other games do you enjoy? Warzone
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? I’m a sim racer and I’m the owner of a Team ( SICKSPEED SIM RACING) also I’m a livery designer, so I would like to help you guys with livery designer tips and also to setup some challenges with my team.

  • I started playing on my dad’s GT3 when I was round 4.
  • I had a T300RS I had to sell and I play on PS5 controller until I can afford a new one 🥲
  • I don’t play much anymore so I play mostly GT7 and the new Skate game
  • I am looking forward sharing tips and tricks on the game, meet people to play with. And I need help organizing an event in GT7

Where are you from? Russia originally, living in Turkey for years now
When did you start playing racing games? PS1 days, GT fan for about 25 years
Do you play with a steering wheel? Had a G25 back in the day, want to get back on a wheel soon
What other games do you enjoy? Mario Kart lol
What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? Getting people to try my GT PSP mod and tell me what's broken

I love old consoles, every one of them does something the others can't and I still find that interesting. So I end up taking stuff apart and making it do things it wasn't supposed to.

Latest example: Gran Turismo PSP Career. Hong Kong, Rome Circuit, Complex String and Smokey Mountain now run on a real PSP without crashing. Thread here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gran-turismo-psp-career-—-public-beta.439564/

Played GT Sport and GT7 for not a ton and not really serious with a controller, and never got into it. Bought a G29 about a year ago and played a bit of Truck Sim and GT7, but lost interest. Around Memorial Day, I randomly decided to play before I maybe sell it,.and something just clicks and I get super into it. Within a month, I buy a PSVR2 and RS50, and am completely hooked
 
Hi, I found GTPlanet on twitter with the news they post.
I'm Spain.
I started playing racing videogames when i was 7.
I have used a Fanatec GT DD Pro of 8nm, mostly on iracing.
Other games I like to play are World of Tanks, Minecraft, job simulators like PC Building Simulator and games likely these.
What I'm looking for in this forum is to meet people with likely interests, watching what is being cooked here and maybe entering a team (I'm not actively looking for a team but I'm opened to join one if its interesting the offer).

Actually I asked AI to suggest a good place to go as a complete NOOB to Sim Racing. I live in Dunedin New Zealand and recently purchased a second hand G29 wheel and pedals primarily for use with American Truck Simulator. Thought I would give Sim Racing a go. Used to play IndyCar way back when. I have got Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I found Gtplanet while looking for a website that tracked GT7 world records. I just put a lap time in the at the Nurburgring in a completely stock Sf23 Toyota super formula, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s close to a world record at that track. I know the actual fastest time is a 5:10 lap time, but that car used had changes made to the tuning. My car is completely stock. As is from the car dealership. I didn’t change a single thing other than a put a Max Verstappen livery on it. My lap was a blistering 5:19.913. I looked it up and I’ve been told by multiple sources that that’s in the top 1% of players, but I’m not 100% sure
 
I discovered GTPlanet when I was looking for high-quality GT7 car tuning and track tips.
I hope to learn more advanced setups, watch great lap replays and chat with fellow GT fans in this community.
