Phillip, the difference between WiFi and 3G versions is not just the 3G. WiFi version also has no GPS. Other than that: identical.

Maybe save some money and jailbreak the iPad 2?

Why would anyone do that? It is kinda dangerous to go into the iPad's root. It is like, one thing you change then BAM! You're iPad is messed up! So I wouldn't recommend it.

That is not true. Jailbreaking is much safer now than it was before.

There is no more danger involved than in using any computer.

That said, InvincibleM5 already said he'd rather keep it original.
 
Thanks you gentlemen, just what I needed as original is the way it would be kept, GPS on the 16 GB don’t work apart from location via wifi near a hot spot.

GPS on the ipad would have been nice in the Pajero, but tomtom will do just as well.

Sorry if my reply is a bit mishap, been celebrating most of the afternoon as the mortgage has just been completed. Nice dinner and way too many bottles of champagne, hate to think what the bank balance is going to be like.
