After running the RUF Track on Spa for a week in the GT3 challenge, I forgot how easy it is compared to the C-spec RUF. I took the C-spec for a spin at Spa yesterday to do some practice and qualifying for the RUF Cup this week. The first couple of laps in practice I ended up facing the other direction like 3 times a lap :D

I'll need some more practice I think before running a race. My 2.29 qualifying lap isn't fast enough compared to the faster guys. In GT3 I was 3 seconds off the pace of the really fast guys. Now I'm sitting at around 4.5 seconds slower...
I did the exact same thing ! No practice , straight into a quali session.

6 incidents in 7 laps , best lap was in the 31s ! I'm an idiot :D

After playing the ever living crap out of the new GSC Update im having to re-learn how to drive the Ford GT again lol.

Not exactly the same thing then, I did do some practice first ;)

I'm wondering if this will transform the GT3 Ruf field into a Z4 fest, with probably one or two guys sticking to the McLaren out of principle ...

I'm sticking with McLaren because I'm not going to buy another car. I don't care enough about a video game so that I buy a car just to be faster. I think IR intentionally made the Ruf faster to make money, and I will bet that they're about to do the same with the Z4. I don't blame IR honestly, but I also really like the challenge of using a car that's not as fast and using good racecraft along with running a better race. Not to mention dodging carnage

I like the McLaren as well, although I'm not yet capable of running competitive times with it. So yeah, I'm currently using the Ruf... It will be interesting how the different cars will fare against each other when the Z4 is thrown into the mix.

If suddenly the Mac is as easy to handle as the Ruf, I'll run the Mac without a doubt.

I'll be switching from the Macca to the Zed4. Not for the reasons of new car hype and speed though. Ever since I drove a few M models hard around a track, BMW has become my favorite car manufacturer. Also, that downshift sound...

Hopefully they include that loud downshift pop you hear in that iRacing video about the Z4 development.

Been waiting for the Z4 GT-3 for a long time, that will be my car next season.

The Z4 GT-3 is always a blast in every sim i've played it in, so i will definitely be picking it up.

Except for GT6 lol

Ok, sure if you call GT6 a sim ;). After getting my hands on Iracing & other sim's, I no longer consider GT "The Real Driving Simulator"(Still a good console game).

Ive stepped out of the GT fanbiy party and you realize how terrible the game really is imo. Cant wait for the Z4 though, hopefully the schedule will have more tracks that i actually own.

same man. I'll be racing the Z4 and I hope to have more than 3 tracks on the schedule that I own. :D

For you NASCAR guys, I currently only own Daytona, Charlotte, and Homestead out of the bigger tracks. I will have $15 saved up of iRacing credits from participation and would love to expand my Oval schedule as I found Homestead a really fun track to race on. What tracks have good participation and clean racing?

I was thinking of getting either Darlington or Kentucky. Both of those tracks are some of my favorite to watch races on. I feel like Darlington would have low participation thought thanks to the old Darlington Strike.

Martinsville is always popular with the trucks and a class but that was last week. Indianapolis is always a popular track too.

Just encountered a funny glitch, i got my car stuck in the wall and the rpm's starting going through the roof, the longer i held the clutch in the higer the revs would go, so my ford was hitting 21000rpm lmao.

I've had this happen, more so on the oval side actually. One time i saw a car shoot into the fence & it got caught in it like a spiders web .

I forgot that I have Indy as well. Martinsville is a lot of fun too but, I feel like it would be a massive wreck fest though.

Pocono was another track that I considered because it's really fast and I could use it for the Indycar as well as the NASCARS.

Had the worst case scenario happen to me at Suzuka proto/gt race. HPD spun at the end of 130r and was parked on the right so i was aiming for the left and low and behold he starts pulling out right in front of me. Just barely clipped his front and missed hitting the wall by nanometers. I swear is it that hard to look to the left or atleast glance at your relative time box. richidoo was also in the race so he maybe knew how hectic that race was lmao.

HPD drivers can be the most stupid people in the service, it's not even funny!!
I've had multiple races ruined while leading in the Ford GT when an HPD who's not in the top 10 in class and further back overall than I am driving right into me while I'm getting out of his way

I do not trust the further back HPDs at all, the front runners make risky moves but atleast i know that they can handle the car where as the slower guys are just dumb.

I was in that race with you Silver. It was nice to have a big grid (33 cars), i think i was 4th or 5th in gt1.
