Anybody else here get a $5 credit from iracing today? Apparently iracing hit 500 million laps either today or yesterday and since I did an official race on that day I got $5. They are giving everyone that did an official race on that day $5. I just pre ordered motegi yesterday too. Between the 25% discount, and the $7 credits I already had it only cost me $4.21, but of course today I get a $5 credit:lol:.

A nice little touch. I know it's only $5 per person, but times that by 3000+ and they've basically given away over $15000.

However, I'm sure they'll soon recoup that.

Yall got credits for free huh thats pretty coo. Darn star mazda dudes messed up and didnt vote for motegi so not sure if I will buy it.

Not fixed yet it still shows 15000? Not a big deal; just kind of funny haha
edit: Ah you did update it although my guess would be 5 x 300 racers = $1500 loss would've been closer. Usually you do have up to 3000 concurrent users but I do not think that many race on a given day

Yeah got it in an email. I'm not sure if it was for today or yesterday because I always race around midnight so I end up having a race or 2 listed on one day and race or so on the next day.

Must've been on Monday, because I haven't recieved anything and I know I didn't race on Monday...

Yeah I should've made it clearer. My bad.

The email says 3000+ members joined an official race. 300 is a very low number considering Mazda Cup races can reach 80+ per hour. Over a 24 hour period 3000 could easily be achieved.

I always thought perhaps the same dudes was racing over & over. I know thats what I do to get in all the practice I can

but if the email specifically says 3000+ members joined an official race it's a wrap 👍

I just went to the hardware store and bought all the pieces to make my own rig hard mounted seat rig!

I right now completed the box and have drilled out the mdf board holes to mount my desktop chair onto the rig! Hopefully I will finish all of the woodworking by tomorrow or friday and have it painted and ready to use by sunday. :D

Cool be sure to show us some pics!

Btw on the forums they have confirmed the Indy Car and K&N car (older impala) is getting the NTM. No mention of the v8 super car yet tho

I was in one of the V8 rooms a week or two ago and Shane Van Gisbergen dropped a quick hint he had been testing the NTM for the V8, not that it confirms anything but at least they haven't forgotten about the V8 :)

*Also can someone confirm that all Week13 races do not affect your iR or SR ratings ?

Noshog, some races will affect your sr and some won't. They'll let you know which series counts and which doesn't.

Also I read on Twitter from one of the staff that the cars getting the NTM are the Indy Car and some NASCAR. It looks like the Stang and V8 don't get it this time. Maybe they'll surprise us with more with the official announcement. :)

The V8 was actually one of the original cars that tested NTM I believe.

Is that all the cars that is going to be on NTM???

To be honest, that is such a dissapointment its not funny. 👎

Not even the V8, not even cars like Mustang, what an epic fail by iRacing.

Cheers Spec

Doesn't look to be that bad a update really...Motegi, the Caddy, and some more NTM cars, could be a couple more little suprises too I guess.

No complaints from me.

What do you expect to get Swift ?

You can't really expect any more than a couple cars at a time to get the NTM. It's a big project making sure each car works correctly. They've also been working on adding new features to the NTM as well which should be coming in this update.

I totally understand how big of the project it is.

This is totally my opinion but what I wanted:
1. Get all cars on NTM before undertaking new cars like the Cad, MP4, RUF etc.

NTM makes a car like new again.

Just from a personal view, its like not finishing something off and starting on something new.

ALSO, by leaving cars on OTM and moving them to NTM down the track means we need to learn 2 new cars. I can only take myself for an example, but I wouldn't mind giving V8 a shot, but I won't because I don't want to spend XX hours in the car when one day it will go NTM and I will have to spend more time relearning the car.

I probably can safely say (I don't have any factual basis) but there must be some drivers our there holding back on a car because its OTM?

Really need to bring all the cars on the same playing field - I would love to see the term "OTM" be killed off and put into the bin. All cars NTM and thats that.

You aren't the only one who has been holding out on driving OTM cars but there isn't really anything that can be done besides try a different car for now.

I know nothing can be done but its the internet its the forums and I am just offering my view. Its just quite fustrating that its only 2 cars.

I'm just glad Indy car is getting the NTM to be honest. That along with the Caddy and NASCAR K&N makes 3 brand new cars on the NTM :dopey:

This is great timing for me. I was planning on trying out the indy car fixed ovals.

I feel for the V8 supercar fans but personally I don't think I'd have time to learn that car anyway. I want to just focus on Star mazda (road), Indy (oval) (part time - casual), & sk mods (part time - casual). That's plenty.... Not to mention the GTP league. Going to be challenging to fit all that into a busy schedule.... :scared:
