Street Stock at Charlotte quali, talk about consistency :sly:

ah, yeah, i also saw the vid and comments at the iRacing forum. I hope everythign gets worked out and ends up with a big group hug at the end.

So all of that passing below the line stuff was legal, yes? I was a bit confused by the discussion at the iRacing forum. IIUC, it is illegal to pass below the white line in real-life but not in this virtual series?

There's discussion on the iRacing forum?

Passing below the line is illegal in our league, apparently. Its not written in black and white, rather it is stated that racing below the line on the ovals is not legal. The main reason for that, if anyone has raced in the GTC in a MX5, is that you actually save time running the shorter distance on the apron at Daytona (only in NASCAR T1-T2, you'll lose time heading to the finish using the apron in NASCAR T3-T4).

Russell posted a video from his replay that shows it was indeed a netcode error causing the crash.

~$500 clubsport pedals. "best" pedals ever.

Getting pumped, logging onto iRacing and getting into a race and realise that the PCB has stuffed up and you can't get 100% throttle. Priceless!

So bummed about it. I fixed it but pretty much stuffed my race. I lost my motivation too.

Maybe tomorrow :(

If I had a nickel for every time I heard of CSPs failing, I still wouldn't spend that money on new pedals.

G25 FTW.

$500 Clubsport pedals? Holy crap! Is that really how much it costs to get them in Australia? I've had 2 sets of Clubsports and 2 sets of CSR-Elites, neither have had any problems.

Same here. I had V1's for a year and now the V2's for a couple months and no problems. I did have a problem with the v2's going to full throttle sometimes like swift mentioned, but it came from the bottom part of the pedals touching the metal mounting plate on my playseat causing the pedals to ground out a little. I put some electrical tape on that bracket and all fixed now. Also $500 is double the price of what the pedals cost new.

Well I know the company that imports them to Australia (can't remember the name) pretty much gouges the price.

Ah ok I didn't look at his location. That's crazy prices. Seems like you would be better off finding stuff on forums and get people to ship them to you rather than paying double like that through an import company. That sucks.

Guy in our last league race has CSPs and was only getting 85% throttle, had to pit and work on the pedals for a while. Seems like everyone has issues with their load-cells.

There's no load cell in the throttle, just the brake.

"Seems like everyone" is a dangerous thought process. Because for every person you see having a problem, there are many more of us not posting because we aren't having problems.

At the same time, I don't see posts "oh crap my G25/G27 pedals aren't working right!!!", except some have problems with dirt in the pots causing some erratic inputs. I preordered my G25 and haven't had issues with the wheel or pedals, which is pretty amazing I think.

The much more simple design of course means less failures. But the simple fact is, load cell brakes are better for feel and consistency. If you like your pedals, I'd look into that "Perfect Pedal" mod that they make for them.

Few words are so true, in any discussion. 👍 The morale of this story is, though: Get a Fanatec wheel with Logitec pedals. Done. :)

My only issue with the Clubstports so far has been the loadcells, I go trough them like crazy arround 4-5 a year. I do use all of the pedal's travel in my calibration wich requires the maximum preassure the loadcells are designed for. If you want to prolong the life of the loadcells I guess you could dial it back a little... In my case I like a rock solid pedal, I've spent nights bleeding the brakes on my track car on a race/track weekend and I like the closest feeling possible on my CSPs.

4-5 a year? WOW! I guess you must race much more and much harder than I do, because I've never had to replace one in ~2+ years.

Lol! Lucky you! Also my foam piecs are pretty much doneand starting to break away, both the original and the ones that came with the tunning kit!

I bought mine a very long time ago so obviously you cannot compare them to the prices now! Also the exchange rate wasn't great then.

I have to admit, if you want to judge them based on price and what you get, G27 beats them ALL, even the new clubsport wheels.

Yeah I disagree with that. If you compare the price yes the g27 you get way more for your money with getting the wheel, pedals and shifter in one, but at the same time you get what you pay for. Ive used a g27 before and I've had 6 different wheels in the last year with csp v1 and now the v2's and the clubsport wheel and v2 pedals blows it out of the water. Even a older fanatec wheel like a regular csr and csp v1's are better than a g27 in my opinion. Not trying to start a huge debate but just get tired of reading g27 this g27 that. Sorry I just don't see it. The Logitech stuff just has so much made out of plastic it just feels cheap to me in comparison.

I agree, I had a G27 and it failed very early. I have a Fanatec GT2 and an Elite wheel. I sold the Elite. Just couldn't get past that big foam rim they stuck on it. :) I have 2 T500's in which I use inverted CSP's. It's a compromise, until DSD comes out with his pedal set I am stuck with them.

Equipment doesn't matter that much to overall performance in races. Many of the fastest guys are using very basic equipment and they wouldn't be any faster with "high end" gear.

I feel the complete opposite. Without buying a higher end wheel, like the elite or csw, I prefer a G27 wheel with club sport pedals. I had a G27 set for a few years then got the GT3 v2 and csp. I didn't like the GT3 with iracing at all, so I use my G27 with csp.

Although, the GT3 being completely broken with the skippy (iracing's fault) may have contributed to this choice significantly.

My load cell has been fine but my clutch is wonky.

How can iRacing be blamed for breaking a GT3? In any event I would personally take a belt driven wheel over a geared wheel, although I suppose a lot of it is what you are use to using.

It comes down to budget & preference. My Hyundai's brake pedal is squishy. Jav would hate it. But, since it's FF & the front wheels are more likely to lock... I like the pedal squishy; Jav & I wouldn't agree on that at all. ===> It's all preference.

Lol! Take it to a track day and you'll agree with me after 1 lap!
