I feel the complete opposite. Without buying a higher end wheel, like the elite or csw, I prefer a G27 wheel with club sport pedals. I had a G27 set for a few years then got the GT3 v2 and csp. I didn't like the GT3 with iracing at all, so I use my G27 with csp.

Although, the GT3 being completely broken with the skippy (iracing's fault) may have contributed to this choice significantly.

My load cell has been fine but my clutch is wonky.

You still doing Skip bro?

I quit by the way, doing Star Mazda. SO much better...are you patrick moore4?

I know the feeling! Let us know what your setup is.

Just finished getting the core drivers installed. Here is a picture of the Windows rating

i7 3770K 3.5GHz
16GB Ram
Nvidia GTX 660 Ti 2GB

Downloading iRacing right now but, will probably have to wait until the morning to give this thing a go :(

Nice system you got there. iRacing is very CPU dependent, if you haven't already get a high quality CPU cooler and overclock to 4GHZ or higher. On my i7-2600k going from stock speeds to 4.8GHZ I found an improvement of about 35-40fps.

Awesome ratings, you'll be able to run iracing maxed out with no problems at all. My setup isnt as powerful as yours and it can handle it on max settings and usually 50-60 fps depending on traffic.

I see you have an ASRock mobo 👍

Yep, got the Extreme 4 like many recommended. I originally was going to get an Asus Sabertooth but a lot said that that was overkill. I originally was hesitant about ASrock but later learned that it is kind of a sister company to Asus? So far works flawlessly. Loving the 15second SSD bootup as well haha

I am "Disqualified" for the first time.

I don't understand the damage.

On Road America i lost a bit of grip in coner 6 (braking zone uphill). I was going sideways the guy behind me could not avoid me. I ended up whit 7 minutes of damage, 6 minutes were optional which i did not take. I was allowed to race but the car was undrivable but still, i could race.

Next race same scenario only thing that has changed is the car infront of me who was going sideways, i saw it coming but the car couldn't stop in time so i gave him a little tap. The car didn't feel bad afterwards i could still do the same lap times. only my steering wheel couldn't stay straight. Still i got a black/orange flag which i ignored.

I find it strange i got a black flag for little damage in race 2 but in race 1 you can drive whit severe damage whitout a problem. :scared:

I read somewhere a while back that its because iracing had your damage as leaking fluid on the track. I have no idea if its true, but thats what I read. It is a bit frustrating, but I guess it makes sense.

I got +.18 in the skippy's earlier for 3 (off tracks) incidents and -.01 for 6 (x2 and x4 contact) incidents in oval... :(

Great race Matthew, time to start from the grid. Top 5 finish is awesome.

Nah, one more time from the pits, unless I'm gridded last, nearly ready to go above 3 in SR, clean race and I'm there and can try a few grids

Well I lost lost a ******** of SR... Some retard spun out or something and rejoined by swerving across back on to track in front of me and some other guy, when I tried to brake like the car in front the brakes locked up and I rammed into him, 1 lap later my pedal cable fell out, every turn I did was a off track, spun it and then pitted to fix the damage which caused me to spin, went out again, a car a lap ahead spun in front of me causing me to try take evasive action causing me to spin and then I got hit by someone else.. Then I quit.

And to top it all off I forgot to save the replay so the guy who started my bad race gets away with it unless the other guy protests him.

And this was starting from the pits, should have gridded..

Me the retard,,,,
Sorry was so mad i spun there i did not think about someone starting in the pits.
So sorry matty, stupid me.

Lol! Any car with a squishy pedal, anything from a Ferrari to a Geo Metro!

As long as the brakes are strong enough to lock, I don't mind a squishy pedal. ===> My braking inputs are gentle, so, I wouldn't want a stiff pedal that I'd have to fight.

Lol! No offense, but you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. a "squishy pedal" or "spongy pedal" comes from air in the system, improperly bled system, broken down fluid, expanding lines or plainly a bad brake system. In other words a "squishy pedal" in a track is a bad thing and will only bring trouble. Some sanctioning bodies/organizers won't let you on track with a "squishy pedal".

^^ Not THAT squishy... I mean, I don't want to have to push with all of my strength, because then it's either 80% on, or lock-up. I like my Hyundai's pedal's adjustment range... it only locks-up if I want it to, but, I've never had to push the pedal to the floor, either.

You won't ever have to push a rock solid well bled pedal to the floor but the exact opposite. Surely you've heard of Porsche's legendary brakes, it's exactly because of this reason, they remain rock solid trough a session and you hardly notice any fade. As soon as your pedal goes to the floor in any car is time to pull it into the pits.

Yes. ^^ I've not noticed any MORE squishiness than stock in the Hyundai. I'm saying, though, that I don't double-fill the brake fluid (hydraulic) reservoir. I leave it as stock; there's a bit more adjustability. ^^ The brake pedal isn't an on-off switch.

If I may, brake pressure is like health; you don't want to go to any extremes (cold, malnutrition, heat exhaustion...) but you want good balance.

Well I didn't think this would happen... :dopey:

It's okay, I don't get mad for long and I just had a great Street SStock race.

Still dunno why I bought a Mustang instead of a car I could of raced in Oval D Class races.. Stuck on Oval D for a good few months now :(

Hope i dont ***k up any races for you in the future 👍

If you do you'll hear about it maybe for a few hours and I'll be happy again :dopey:

I think I gained 300 iR today on the oval side though :dopey:

1 more clean fast race and I could make the top 10 gains today... Knowing my luck I won't get as lucky as I have been.. :dopey:

Huh?? Ok...

MrMelancholy, I mean no disrespect but Jav is very nicely trying to tell you you don't know what you're talking about. If you need that much brake pedal modulation, you're not going fast enough, not only that, it seems your "track beast" is running Kumho all seasons, which is then impossible to judge the brake pedal you need for performance driving.

Go to a racing school and drive something at least on summer tires, if not slicks, its about 10,000 times different than Autocrossing your car. The brake pedal may feel stiff in one but it is what you need for a combination of racing properly, and knowing if theres a brake problem (if it is suddenly not stiff). You're not going to lock the brakes up at speed, if you're doing it right, and finding that point that you can put the pedal down, and release at the proper time is how you get maximum braking in the shortest time. Thats how you go faster.

Brake pedal modulation like how you like it is what is needed on the street to keep people from locking up and flat spotting their street tires when they are stopping at a light, or parking at the mall.

Guys, what's your take on this, was it intentional?

I'm still debating on protesting or not. I know how the verdict is gonna go, but like the guys on the session pointed out is more of keeping a record than taking action against him.
Oh and BTW this happened with 6 minutes left while comfortably on 3rd...

Which car are you?

I'm going to guess Jav is the rear car who ran into the guy who brake checked on a straight. I can't imagine that not being intentional, especially since he swerved to his left to get in to your path.

Was he on the lead lap with you? If he was being blue flagged maybe he was trying to pull off line and slow down to let the two of you by?
