Ahh, you tried to take too much of the turn. The amount of cars I've done that in

Haha, not quite. I used too much of the turn, and then ended up sideways. I almost recovered, but not without hitting a wall and letting video-game physics take over again.

I've been working all night on getting below a 1:50 at Brands Hatch in the SRF and I finally did a mid 1:49 then the very next lap I did a 1:48.6xx:) and am now consistently running in the high 1:40's, 4-6 seconds off some of the faster guys I saw tonight. I also did my first SR affected session since august (albeit a quali) and gained .01 SR

Nothing like hard work paying off 👍 and lol @ the SR gain, well at least its in the positive!

Great car and a great track for it. I was practicing a bit on it too. Nice going on the progress.

By the way, SKIDMARX, take that.

 We're even again, methinks. And that was a damn good race (except the idiot lapped traffic)

Haha, I haven't done a MX5 race in a while. I have been racing and practicing Grand Am and I was all set up for my second 4th position yesterday... until me and Erik realised I didn't have enough fuel to finish :grumpy:. Still looking for my first podium to help me secure the lead in the division 6 championship for now.

You had a decent race there SKIDMARX, and I actually felt the same pain you must have felt when you had to pit and saw all those car pass you.

I miss the information like fuel information when spotting, because if I had I could have done more accurate calculation and instead of trying to save fuel we could have made you pit when you could get out in free air earlier. But as I use Liters and you gallons it made me a bit confused.

We get it next time ;)

Thanks guys,

I know that that track has to be in my top 5 iracing tracks somewhere, just by how fun it is. If there was no elevation change it'd be really boring but it's not

Is it possible to get a setup for the Street Stock so I can use it on a Road Course? Just for fun of course.

I think iRacing had posted some road sets for the Street Stock and Late Model during the 2012 Season 2 Week 13. I don't have a clue how to find that post...I know Eric Hudec commented to add one.

Edit: It looks like we've picked up a new media partner for CESCS, so our next race (Indianapolis, Saturday November 17th) will be broadcast as a test for them to get familiar with our series and make sure we're happy with the service. I assume it'll be a live broadcast and streamed somewhere, whenever I find out what that is I'll post it.

Why is the participation level so low for Grand Am? Ive only done a few races and there werent enough in the field to even qualify as a race on my stats. The first one had 2 mustangs and the 2nd had 3 mustangs. There werent enough DP either, this is baffling its such a good series. I was hoping to rank up to get to this level, now there are no races to be had.

:grumpy: Some guy's sandbagging in a different series, to drop his iRating, but he can run Division 1 lap times!!! :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:

Go the 🤬 away you 🤬 🤬 🤬, and stop ruining a fair championship!

Easy dude! You're still on a transitory Division, that happens all the time. You'll find people who just like you just got out of rookie and their iRating will put them in a lower division but still tehy are as fast as the D1 guys.

i would suggest having a look at his profile to see if his sandbagging.

The current winner in my division is sandbagging. I can see from his profile that his irating drops always at the end of the season.

Just did and it's all legit. He's only been doing the GT-C on the Jetta sinse last season. MrMelancolly really needs to step it up to take this one.

It's early on in the season anyway, so people "fall off" mid-season that you think would have been a threat.

May be the case, but the guy in question has only raced the Jetta twice a week from the last race you can see on his profile, so I'd say he's taking the championship seriously too. I'd start looking at what can I do to get on pace to win the race.

Hi guys.

I just completed a street stock race. I started 16th, and finished 8th. I had no incidents at all, no contact or anything. However, I only gained .07 SR.

Would I get better SR gains if I raced the legend car?

SR is not dependant on car, how was your race before that one? How was warm up? Did you get into any funny business after the checkered flag?
Many people don't know this but SR is still in play after you cross the finish line. Once the winner finishes the race a 2 minute countdown starts to allow the last car to finish its lap, once that car finshes the timer resets back to 15 minutes and the SR system goes offline.

I know one thing I can't drive for crap a Phoenix in fixed setup truck race. It flat won't turn at all! It problem still doesn't help my wheel is a piece or atleast I still can't get it to work like I'd like so I guess next month time to upgrade to G27 (all that's really in my budget).

My last race was a win, +.02 (I got booted, but saved it wonderfully) from the time I entered to the time I left this race I didn't get one 0x, 1x etc.

Maybe it just hates me :p these street stock races haven't given me very good SR boosts lately, no matter what I do.

I have a question since this only is for Iracing about wheels. Right now I use a DFGT and it just either doesn't last to my usage or something (still trying to figure out if it's me or Iracing or something else). My plan was next month I could buy a G27 since it seems like a good upgrade for the price and will last me for some time I would think but the more I seem to read I really like the sound of Thrustmaster 500 wheel from reviews. Price is just a huge jump from $200 to $550 when I am on a limited budget, I want the best bang for the buck out of the box since I'm not planning to mod it at any point in the near future. Another thing I pretty much only oval race anyway.

Am I wrong in thinking Fanatec is actually middle ground between the 2 to a degree as far as upgrading say the wheel with basic pedals, then maybe pedals later?

I'm pretty rough on things without meaning to be, so I like something that can handle being used. It doesn't have a fixed home either since after I'm done racing I unplug it and take it off the desk.

+1. I was 7th and closed the gap on the 6th, but 2 laps before the end i also had to pit for fuel. To not come to a complete stop i didn't brake for the pitlimit. those extra 15 seconds cost me a place, but lucky it was only one place.

I find it strange becaus i used the same setup/fuel previous season. then i completed those races whitout a problem. Maybe i am a bit faster now consuming a bit more fuel :scared:

I did not :ouch:

Edit:I ran again out of fuel. Previous race i was only 2 laps short on fuel so i added only 1 gallon. Still i ran out of fuel the last lap. Lucky i got lapped the second last lap and saw the white flag. I crossed the finish line in slowmotion. Lucky i had build a 45 sec gap whit the car behind.
I am not the only one who got the wrong fuel loads. Apparently there are lots of drivers who does the same mistake.
