Also don't forget to buy in lots of 3 to get the 25% discount.
Buying 3 items only gets you a 10% discount. Buying 6 items gets you 20%. You have to buy a lot more than six items to qualify for a 25% discount.

Sorry, I own all the content, so I automatically get 25%. Thought it was 25 for 3.

Anyone into the DP cars and/or can you comment on that series? Thinking that may be my first series other than the Mazda Cup. I'd also be interested in suggestions for another new series to check out.

It should be call the McLaren MP4 Series :)

It's a really good series. A lot of McLarens in comparison to DP's but, it makes it realistic since there are generally a lot more GT cars in the real series.

I'll check into it. Also had the strangest thing happen last night. Led from pole the entire race until the last lap. Had one mistake which allowed the 2nd place driver to attempt a stupid overtake at the hairpin. He comes in way too hot and slams me, but instead of crashing there was actually no impact and I got disconnected without leaving the lobby. I kept driving like normal but there was suddenly no one else on track. So I went from winning a race with 0x to losing almost 100 IR points.

Well I got taken out again, another huge hit to my ratings. This is getting really annoying. All I have had is bad luck lately.

How do people run a 1:21 in the HPD around Interlagos? I will never understand how some are so fast in qualifying fuel.
I see the pole being 121:770
Second is 1:22.761.
I'm struggling to get to 1:27 :( but I not good at this track anyway.

Man, this one guy keeps divebombing people in every race. He did it to me two races ago, then did it to another guy last race and took him out. Later he tried it on me in the same race and also blocked me on two occasions. I filed a protest and I'm hoping the other driver did as well. One guy can really ruin it for a lot of people.

Yeah, I'm usually really competitive in the HPD. But, this track I seem to be competitive but, there are a few guys that are insane fast.

Ok race for me. Started off P5. Moved into P4 with some brilliant timing around traffic. Then all of the sudden my car balance changed drastically. Made it 3 more laps until I could not keep the rear of the car in line and slammed the wall.

Not too much damage done to my iRating. Still sitting above 3700. I really want to get 4000 soon.

DP drivers are sparce, but they're generally pretty good. Every now and again, you'll run into Scott Sharp in his DP. McLaren is a lot of fun too

People driving so aggressive and poorly today. :banghead:

Edit: Which car would you all say is the fastest in the Grand Touring Cup? The MX-5 Cup, the Solstice, or the Jetta Cup?

I find it strange that in the Mazda Cup you can race two models of car which are not equal in performance. I'm nearly 2 seconds slower in the Roadster than in the cup car.

Edit: Also just raced the Solstice for the first time. Transmission is a bit lackluster.

Wait until you drive the Jetta :) It's challenging getting used to.

Still probably going to do the Grand-Am series next, but anyone have much experience in the Star Mazda series?

I tried it and personally would recommend the Grand-Am series. I don't like the way the Star Mazda drives. It has too much understeer for my liking. I prefer both the McLaren and Riley DP.

I agree, the Star Mazda is not a good car to drive on the sim. And if the series is the same as it was when I did it 3 years ago, then it will have massive first lap crashes.

If you think rookie races are bad, you don't want to go anywhere near the Star Mazda. Massive first lap crashes and just general dirty drivers. It kinda sucks on the current tire model too. Hopefully NTMv5 will fix it.

Speaking of bad drivers, just had a really weird race. Spec racer at Mid-Ohio (SOF of only 1306 ), I didn't qualify so started mid-pack. My pedals started acting up in warmup, my brakes were sticking and sending me into random spins. I spun 3 times in the race, and had to take avoiding action when a lapped car spun in front of me, causing me to hit another car that was in the gravel. Despite probably my worst race of the season, I still finished 5th. Was almost embarrassing how slow some of the drivers were. There were a couple with best laps 10+ seconds slower than me.

Wow, that bad? Sucks to hear that about the SM series. I'm currently racing the Skippy, but I was considering graduating to either the Grand Am or SM next season. I guess I've made my decision...

Finally got my irating up into top splits for Skippy races. Still haven't one a skippy race yet in 1.5 seasons. So tonight(bottom of 2 split race) at Oulton, get placed 5th on the grid, car number #1. I didn't qualify and all the qualifiers had second or more slower laps than my race pace.

I think, I've got a chance to get my first skippy win.

WRONG.

Punted on lap 1 at the hairpin. Ridiculous. I almost wanted to sandbad my irating a little to get back down to the bottom split, because I'm not as fast as the top split guys.

So I got what I asked for (placed in bottom split) and end up 6th. Still had fast lap of the race.

I finally got online today (after months of not being on the service), I got 1 hr of practice in and decided to join a rookie Mazda race (First one since probably when I was a rookie). It was rather funny, I got taken out on lap 2 because a couple of guys went off the sand trap at the end of the backstretch at Okayama and decided to re enter the track and make it four wide and I got spun left on a right hand turn . I then proceeded to spin four more times and only one of which counted against me because a glitch in the hairpin s-turns and I gained .01 SR with a class C license which to me is hilarious! I started 5th and finished 5th of 10:lol:

I wish I had that kind of luck.
I took a big IR hit yesterday in the Radical.
Not sure why, but is happens more often @ Watkins :(

Watkins is an extremely popular track that brings everybody out, good and bad. I think some people race Watkins as a season instead of running a season in a car, they run Watkins every chance they get in a season no matter the car

I really like the Glen, and I race it whenever I have a car that's there that week.

Exactly 👍

edit: I didn't want to do a double post but I have to say some of these guys are just so fast it blows my mind. I managed a 1:39.132 at Road Atlanta in the skippy in practice and to me it looked mind boggling fast but the fast guys are still two seconds faster and the top guys are running 1:35s which blows my mind. I was just happy that I was able to do a 1:40.23x three laps in a row within 3/1000ths of a second!

Man, rookie class at Lime Rock is the worst. So many crashes. :scared: The other tracks in the series aren't nearly as bad.

I think they all are bad in MX-5. I don't think I ever did a MX-5 race at Laguna Seca where there wasn't an accident at Andretti Hairpin.

I used to split my time between Skippy and MX-5 (bout 80skip/20mx-5), but got sick of the people that were idiots. However that was back when my irating was hanging around the 1000 mark and I usually would be in a lower split. Will need to go back to it, since I've gotten up to around 1400.
