I've decided to set one up on Esper, if that's ok with Jordan. the chan is obviously #GTPlanet, and I use the nick ZDX(my name on the Improved Touring forums)

Would it not of been better to contact Jordan via PM before setting one up? Also what use do you expect an IRC channel to have, we have an inbuilt chat already?

I'm sure you've done this with best intentions but I don't think you've really thought it through.

Nevermind, wrong setting. Anyway as Floats said, there's a chat room here, if you want to have non moderated chat for some reason then you might want to ask Jordan if you can call it #GTPlanet first.

We had an IRC channel set up a few years ago. It was good fun, had quizes and a bot that kicked anyone who swore or flooded.

meh, the chat's always dead whenever I go in there, so I just decided, why not have one for when the chat is dead? anyway, it's really just for some friends I have here on GTP. I also use it with some of the guys from the Improved Touring website(SCCA racing class forums), to try and get them to join over here. not that I'm recruiting, it's just that the IT forums get a little... dead...
