I read through the first few posts and can’t tell, is there still room left in this series? It seems like neither pro or am is at 16, but I see a couple reserves listed. I’m also not sure how you’re differentiating between the two classes.

The IRS has driver rankings for all drivers that have already raced with us before so that's how the classes got sorted initially. Anyone that hasn't raced with us automatically goes into that reserve section but it's really just a placeholder moniker. We had our Exhibition Race tonight and a few drivers will be moving around. Once that's done you'll have a better representation of how many spots are available in each class.

LANAtron is moving to Pro, and GTPvw_slc is going to be in Am. Nickmate will be sorted out soon as well. Keep an eye on the thread this week. Hope to see you soon.

After some discussion in the chat and going on my original intentions, tire wear will be reduced from x2 to x1. Let's just race and not worry about saving tires. 90 minutes, fuel saving, and door to door action is already enough to contend with. 👍 You're welcome.

Ugh, fueled up to the diamond when I shouldn't have. I really thought I had that race won up to the penultimate lap. Kinda salty but now I know not to make that mistake again in the races that matter.

@Neutty apologies for bumping your rear at Turn 7, I had @TNR_5zigen give me a love tap into that corner on the previous lap which put me under pressure.

@DesertPenguin Yeah, I actually just caught LANA’s twitch stream of the exhibition race so I came here to check it out. I’m not sure how I’d be sorted (only done 1 race with IRS before), but I’ll go ahead and register!

Do some time trials for the first race and message me some screenshots of your times. We can use that tell if you'll be in Pro or Am and after the first race if it looks like you're in the wrong class we will know right away.

Must've been pretty boring watching him up front all alone for 80 minutes lol

Ended up needing to fuel save, but a top five for a car that was literally put together late last night is a good sign.

Thanks for letting me join the series. Had a blast in the AM lobby. Hopefully the next races don’t give me the ABS glitch. 47 laps with weak ABS was an absolute nightmare. Sorry to anyone I bumped in the braking zones.

Is that what was happening? Your mic volume compared to others was really low so I couldn't turn it up to hear you. I believe turning up your mic sensitivity in the PS4 menu will fix it. I don't even know about that glitch. Maybe I've had it too and never known!

My bad! I’ll adjust the volume for next race. Was worried about it blasting so intentionally set it lower.

The glitch only happens in the races (dailies, fia, lobbies) and not quali for some reason. But yeah, that’s why my braking was so erratic and I was afraid of following too closely. Fronts kept locking and sending me straight instead of turning.

I too always worry about being too loud because it sounds loud in my ear when I set up the sensitivity but I've been assured enough times that it's not the case. Go for it and we can always ask you to lower it a bit.

And I'm sure sending the brake balance to the rear to lower pressure on the fronts wouldn't make it any easier. Even with good brakes, when I'm following within 0.2-0.5s of someone I tend to go off to one side so if anything happens I go past them and not into their bumper.

So watching the replay, I can confirm I had the ABS glitch. I checked lap 14 and when I went into turn 1, actually saw both fronts glow red (locking up). The same in other laps into the chicane.

Well that explains how I wore the fronts to oblivion and the car felt weird as hell.

How long has this glitch been a thing?

Yeah, was desperately trying everything to find a brake balance that would make it better. Tried -5 through +2 and nothing helped. Bias to the front caused lockup and no steering whereas bias to the rear cause lockup and spin in the Porsche.

Oh well. At least it was just the exhibition.

How long has this glitch been a thing?

I first heard about and experienced it after the update that added the LH challenge DLC.

I think I started watching on lap 35 and he was already a minute ahead, haha. Didn’t catch the whole thing. And awesome, I’ll get you the screenshot either tonight or tomorrow.

No worries. I ended up bumping originals myself by accident.

Sorry guys, I had some Internet problems all night and couldn‘t make any race. Very frustrating :(
I hope to see you next week in Spain.

No worries, glad to hear from you. I was having issues too and new ones at that. When I tried opening a lobby I had a rotating busy icon over the Create Lobby button and it would time out saying "Disconnected from the network". Then I would get as far as the loading screen with the car from different angles and then the same disconnected message.

The first I’ve heard of the ABS glitch, but it makes sense since I was locking the fronts in Rinsky’s race last night, which I’ve never experienced in a GT game with ABS on before, so that makes sense. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, I kill the fronts using controller enough as it is.

Hectic to say the least lol

@SDM_Viper and @Nickmate-3

Viper, you will be in the Pro Division, and there are already 16 drivers so that makes you a reserve for the Pro Lobby.

Nickmate-3, we do not have a driver ranking for you. Please run some time trials (in an online lobby) and screenshot your lap times. We will use this to get an idea where you belong. Same as what Gran Finale is doing. Deadline for this is January 10th

I have a hunch as to why the ABS glitch occurred last night for myself and @bloodyboyblue. The only way to avoid it that I know of is to toggle ABS Off and then back to Default, and then entering warm-up (or the track in a lobby) before an actual race begins. It doesn't ever occur during qualifying for some reason, and you have to do the toggle before Final start. Since the race format has us parking in S2 after qualifying is over and then going directly into the Final I think that's what creates the issue.

@DesertPenguin is there any way the race format could be tweaked because of this bug to instead have the race order set by Lobby Host instead of Fastest First so that those who want to can return to the lobby and toggle ABS before re-entering for the Final?

Yea, that was to speed things up last night but normally I have it set to host. I set a lap or two early and then watch the session from the Live Timing screen, recording the order in a text file so I have it in case there's a restart.

I cant say I've every experienced this or noticed it. Are there any indicators to look out for? Does the front tire hard lock like "No ABS", or is it more a partial locking with extended brake distances? Does the abs light flicker yellow when this happens? Curious.
