I want to address the connection issues we have been suffering in the series. My internet connection is very strong. I have high speed internet and my PS4 is hard wired directly to a port in my router/modem. This leads me to beleive that the issue is a conflict between 2 or more participants. It is very difficult to determine who is conflicting within the lobby without extensive testing involving everyone. That is hard enough to arrange especially since we have very little time between races.

I would ask that those with less reliable connections, like wifi, consider watching this video:

Does anyone know if a person in the lobby lagging and warping is a sign of anything that could lead to conflict within the lobby?

Anytime somebody lags in the lobby(ie the car warping around) it usually causes some kind of issue. In other leagues that person is also the one that gets stuck on grid a lot of the time.

The issue is 100% not a host issue but an issue due to poor connection with somebody in the server. GTSport has been like that for a while.

So hardwire you system in peeps. Walmart has 100ft cables, under $60.

The idea was brought up that @LedtheIron should host events because the lobby was stable when he hosted. However, this ignores the fact that as many as 5 drivers had either dropped for the night or were continuing to experience issues and bowed out. This tells me that the issue will most likely pop up again this coming Monday night.

As @Moby45 mentioned, it would be ideal if everyone could be hard wired but that is not up to us. It is just not possible for everyone to do that given the fact that many folks have their PS4 located far away from their router. Although, running a long cable for a direct connection is a very good idea. It is actually what I do.

I need to know how many will be available tonight to test some race starts again. I also plan to do some test race starts Saturday night as well. I need as many as I can get in the lobby to try and work this out.

I only observed one car lagging and warping during the race but I wasn't around every driver. You can see from my YT broadcast that @SDM_Viper was lagging and warping but I don't know who else may have been having issues as well. Also, I don't think Viper was getting stuck on the grid.

Hey guys. Will any of you guys be forming teams? We only have 1 on the books right now. Remember, only 1 Pro driver and 1 Pro-Am driver per team.

If anyone wants one, and understands that I am terrible, but I will be at every race....I would be more than happy to be on a team. If not, no big deal.

I can't make it tonight, camels league is tonight and it is round 1 with Can Am Porsche.

As far as the issues. I can't believe anyone would try to participate over a wifi connection. I personally believe that wifi connections are incompatible with a stable online experience and in the past when I was unable to hardwire in I just didn't go online to save myself and others undue grief.

At this point, if you take this stuff seriously you must get a wired connection.

During season 1 whenever I was behind SDM Viper he was usually warping around, sometimes just a little and horribly at other times. I found out how I can reliably make my car do that but it would not be fair to other members as it is very distracting and difficult to pass someone warping.

Wish I saw this was racing fia and daily’s all night. People are brutal like do they not care about there rating. They ram you off the track then rage quit lol. Makes me appreciate this league and the courtesy the drivers afford each other more every time I log on. Thank you clean racer video was awesome and congratulations ledtheiron!!

Hi all,

Apologies for jumping bringing up some of this late but I was on holiday for the past week and am returning tonight. I am 50/50 on attending tomorrow depending if I can get some practice in.

Also, I saw there were many discussions about the connection issues. Where do we stand with that? I’ll be very jet lagged so if we delay much it will be hard for me. Also, I agree with the viewpoint that it is probably caused by one person with a bad connection.

We have our finger crossed that we wont have issues tomorrow night. We wont know until race time whather things will work. I am very discouraged by this. I will do some test starts before qualifying tomorrow. Its a holiday weekend here for me so i have the day tomorrow.

Also, if anyone is around i can set up a half distance practice race today.

How does 4:00 pm EDT sound. Is anyone around?

I should be available and would like to practice formation procedures!!!

Hey everyone. I had a slip on the stairs yesterday and felt like everything was just a little swollen but today I went to the Urgent Care and turns out I fractured a bone or two in my foot. I've never broken anything before. I've even got crutches! Anyway, I don't think I'm gonna be racing for at least a week or two.

Looks like i will have to run that lobby later than 4pm. Look for it to be up at around 6pm.

I will post in here when its up and ready to go.

Good luck with your foot

I injured my foot a couple years ago, went to the Dr. 2 times to have them tell me it was just sprained until they sent me to an orthopedic specialist, turns out I had a broken bone in my foot for 7 weeks before finally getting proper treatment.
