Is duping paints considered "cheating"?

Interesting viewpoint, but technically they are available to buy; every paint chip in the game is associated with a make and model of car (sometimes more than one). It can make it a costly proposition, but it is an available option.

I don't think this is the case, definitely not for the chrome chips anyway.

There are also various matt(e) black chips (just as an example) but not sure you will find any new or used cars with a free matt black chip. Could be wrong there though.

Come to think of it, I believe you're right about Silver Chrome, definitely about Gold Chrome. I never traded for a matte black chip, yet I have it, so I either got that from a car or was awarded one from the game (not sure either). In any case, I think dupe is a dupe. :)

I've made a new account so I can multiply my paints to paint and repaint my cars in any colours I want (of the colours I already own that is).

Is this cheating? Will I be hated? :sly:

Oh and I'm not duping matte or chrome paints because they look like crap. :ouch:

Would you give a 🤬 if it was? If so, why?

But there is no crime being committed in the first place. There is nothing illegal about duplicating something in a video game.

...but I never said duping was a crime, did I?

Well, I thought the "duping is not OK just because you think it doesn't hurt anyone, just as commiting a crime is not OK just because it's victimless" message was clear enough when I originally wrote it.

However, to clarify, I am not saying that duping is a crime.

I am only saying that reasons like "victimless" or "doesn't hurt anyone" do not, in my opinion, turn something "not OK" into something that's "OK".

Peace...
