Okay coach, whatever you say coach. I will discuss GT5 XL being availible in SEA as hard as I can coach.

What the hell is SEA?

SEA = South East Aisa.

You make smartass comments yet fail to figure that out?

Thats exactly what I did. I really couldn't figure it out. I googled it too. Sorry. To answer the question in the OP, I googled that too but couldn't find it either... I know its being released in North America and has already been released in Japan... Your best option would be to go to gran-turismo.com and click on whatever country in South East Asia you're in and see if there is any information about it.

Edit: As I said before, I googled it. No need to edit your post...

I think it won't, it's only exclusive to Japan and North America. Though if they haven't really said much regarding this, chances are, you'll just have to buy the DLC if you want the stuff (Can't think of why else you'd buy the XL other than to save some money on it).

I noticed your location is Hong Kong. I found this on the GT official Hong Kong website:

http://www.gran-turismo.com/hk/news/d15692.html

It looks like it's actually coming out 7 days earlier over there than here in America.

SEA = South East Aisa.

Along with 93 other meanings. Perhaps if the original poster had said that was wondering if GT5 XL would be available in his (name of) country, then the meaning of SEA would have been more apparent.

It would also be nice to hear DDD's thoughts instead of just being told to discuss it.

Okay, so I went to the Gran Turismo US site and the first news story is about Gran Turismo 5 XL.

I then went to the Gran Turismo Malaysia site (which is in South East Asia), and there was all the news was about the same except there was no news story about GT5 XL. This leads me to believe that they wont release GT5 XL in South East Asia.

Edit:

That was the reason for my original "smart ass comment." Sorry if I pissed anyone off...

Yea, but as I have Spec II and DLC, I won't really need it. :D Though it's nice to know that the Spec II disc isn't just Japan specific as I first thought.

Yes, but how many are abbreviations for an area of the world? And yes, him telling us (or simply putting his location in that box) would clear up the confusion quite a bit.

I've never heard that acronym before. You and DDD are from that area and know what it means. I'm sure I could post an acronym for an area near where I am that you wouldn't understand either.

My point is that you cannot assume that everyone knows what acronyms and abbreviations stand for, or we wouldn't need a thread here explaining what a lot of them mean...

I just looked at every listed location's official GT website. These are the locations that have an article about any version of Spec 2.0 coming out:

Japan
China
Hong Kong
Canada
US

All the websites appear to be up to date, because they all have the new NSX Concept video.

For SEA regions, if it's gonna be released in Hong Kong it'll be released over the SEA regions as well.
This is because Sony HK controls the market for SEA, so whatever comes out in HK comes out in SEA.

I found it pretentious and wasteful to ask a question in the title and then only post a one word directive as if we're here to serve the OP as his personal search engine slaves. If you want a discussion, have a cohesive thought of your own to present for discussion. Otherwise, just use google.

It's also the abbreviation for Seattle which is what I thought at first. Then I googled it and couldn't figure it out since it appears that many, MANY things have the same acronym. Either way though I agree with a lot of people, if you're trying to start a discussion have something to say first, it's like people that start a photo thread but don't put a photo in the first post.
Also, from which this topic doesn't seem like it's a discuss... able. It it's an opinion, what the op actually had was a question. And unless someone found some evidence (some of the above posters have) the answer from everyone would be "maybe." /rambling/ranting about the original post.
So yeah, maybe it'll come out, though I'd assume it will since like ssjben said, it's being released in Hong Kong.

Well just an update since I live in Malaysia (which is, a SEA region).
GT5 Spec 2 (or also known as GT5 XL) has just gone on sale here.

It's basically the same disc as the Japanese version (as is normal GT5 version), just with an R3 marking on it.
