Is GTP being worked on?

I was getting this message all of this morning, but it has seem to go away. I could access the main part of the forum, but all of the link to the threads did not work at all. Not sure what the problem is, hope it gets fixed soon:grumpy:

Database error on PS3 release day. Coincidence? :)

damn you, we have to wait until March next year:grumpy:

it's been going a bit slow for me, but no database errors yet

edit: it stopped loading mid page after i posted this

I never use Internet Explorer or FF, only Opera, and it goes quickly here with no problems what so ever. I have experienced problems a couple of time, some weeks ago, now it's running fine.

Exactly, opera worked on GTP, no slow loading times, no database errors. And this was during the first time it messed up.

From,
Chris.

Yeah, they're back. GTP was even unusable for 10 minutes earlier as they appeared on every page. Slow too.

I got a consistent database error, and i was locked out for a while, i e-maled Jordan about it, i also got a wierd error at the homepage:

i guess everyone got it and left, i came back after:

edit: damn G.T beat me

edit2: everyone's coming back now

I just got one right wen I started the interweb. I reloaded and the site came up, but it showed that only I was online, which is untrue. Weird. Every time I refresh it a couple more people show up.

EDIT: Got another error right at 11:00.

Just been getting the page lthiele posted & it's been very slow with a database error almost every page. It's not my internet as every other page I've visited works fine, back to GTP...really slow.

EDIT: Back to normal now.

I just tried to edit my above post, and when I clicked "post" it loaded the page, but my post disappeared. I refreshed, and got another error, on top of the one I got at 1:30--my reason for an intended second edit. Now it's back.

EDIT: Today's been a pretty rough day. I just started getting these Coppermine errors at about 2:00.

It's a miracle that I'm even able to post this right now. I can't use GTPlanet at all in its current state -- database errors and slow-loading all around. :indiff:

I guess I'll have to take a break from GTP for a while.

I've gotten them regularly today. In 3 cases, it was so bad I had to open 8-10 different tabs of the main forum list just to get it to load at all.

Odd . . . I got a few errors last night (didn't last longer than 5 minutes I'd say), but nothing today at all.

I've had maybe two db errors today, but apart from that, GTP is working fine.

edit: Now that I've said that, I just got two DB errors in very quick succession.

Yes, I've received logs of all the errors. I wish I could give more insight into why the database keeps crashing, but even the administrators I have hired to work on the server only seem to be making the problem progressively worse. :( Let's hope they are able to find a permanent solution tonight before Thanksgiving tomorrow, when they probably don't want to be working.

Strange enough, I haven't had a single databsase error. Not even slow loading times, unless my crappy computer bugs out on me.

From,
Chris.

it's not untrue, when the database error occured, everyone got kicked off, you were the first one back online once it finished, so you were the only one online at the time, then more people refreshed it and it worked, eventually most people were back online again
