Is GTPremuim worth buying?

Highly recommended. My first month was free. (Thanks Touring Mars) :D
I have paid for extra months since then, I really should just pay for the year subscriptions. But I guess doing it this way is more support for GTP. ;)

It is so worth contributing to one, if not the best forum on the net.
Nice extras too like the huge increase in your message storage.

You rock Jordan and GTPlanet. 👍

although if CNG goes premium he might see what we've all said about him in the Premium forum

:scared:

That is the reason why I don't know if I should buy premium or not right there -Diego-. :nervous:

I feel it's better to just get it and maybe not even read the GTPremium forum, because I might get a little more respect on GTPlanet for getting Premium, supporting the site, you know? :) The cost of obtaining respect is priceless, especially in the situation I am in with the GF thread and everything. 👍 I will ignore the thread, so I won't go home, ending up ranting at myself. :dopey: Also that is the reason why I put the few quotes in my signature. My e-life is in the gutter. :guilty:

So far not even ONE person voted "No" for GTPremium, now that is saying something.

Truthfully yours,
CNG

EDIT: Come on, the posts you made can't be that bad...

Don't worry, you haven't been pissing us off lately. If you sign up and decide not to look back at posts in the chat thread you'll be good.

for now.

besides, the Premium snitch is already overused... we're a bit tired of picking on Duck

Actually, all of us in the Premium forum are too lazy to complain. We're still on about you CNG.
Are you sure about that Duck?

It's worth it simply for the fact that you are supporting a very well run, entertaining and educational site with a diverse community of members.
.......
The real benefit f Premium is knowing you are helping to support the site from the high costs of running a site like this so that it not only can continue......
👍
... and it's always a great way to support GTP with its running costs. The best thing to do (for GTP) is to buy Premium every year,........

or you could take out lifetime and then on occasion buy someone a (couple of) month(s) /year's worth of Freemium and continue supporting GTP financially. Some regulars do that and so do quite a number of Moderators 👍

AMG.

Lol, picked the wrong option.
Really have to go to sleep, it's 1:30 am now :)

Kinda off topic:
Like half the active GTP members are premo now. I remember when i joined there were only a handful of members who were premo. Its kinda wrecks the point of premium. We should have like a Platinum Premo service now :D

hmmm..... you could make it $60 dollars a year maybe.

If you don't want to or don't have the money, you can still buy premium, but if you do, you could go platinum. That does sound like a cool idea to help this lovely site even more, but premium is great right now as is.

Part of the reason for that is that the prices are much cheaper. When I became a member, a year was $40, and there was no lifetime option. Now, the year is $20, and lifetime is $50, a mere $10 above the previous yearly price. The fact that people here are pretty darn generous probably inflates the number as well.

Who's post are you willing to believe: mine or the guy who sprays perfume in his Del Sol.
How convincing...

BRILLIANT! 👍 The badge should be silverish, with gray outline, black text, and put GTPlatinum for the badge name.

Like this, CNG?

And yes, Premium is worth it.

Only if lifetime members automatically got that.

Sure premium is worth it, since I got it for free :)

Ask Ozzy if it's really worth it since he's spent at least $200 on it.

Speaking of lifetime, make the badge silver-ish like what Sharky made up, but instead have the cursive as "Lifetime".

Just a random thought.

But it smells good.

And besides, you, CNG, will just get included in our occasional PM orgies that last for days and take up like 30 PMs every time. In and out, that is. So even though you get 30 times more PM space you're sending 30 times the messages so it's pretty pointless.

And the coffee is always cold. The women complain. The mods come in and interrupt discussions and babble on and on. It's kinda ridiculous.

Lifetime Premium is a bargain! 👍

However, it's purely (from my point of view) just to get rid of the adverts! :yuck:
Put it this way. Before Premium existed, Jordan ran a bloody good site, but had to deal with something that spiralled way out of control beyond what he reasonably expected a niche site to be to Gran Turismo fans! It literally exploded with interest in the GT games, and became much more than that as friendships are forged, and interests outside of GT were realised and shared. In order to compensate for this and pay for the additional server space and bandwidth, one is either forced to dig deep into ones own pockets, or sell advertising space. (Don't get me started on Sales & Marketing folks....:yuck: ) It's what had to be done to keep a well oiled, and spotless machine, well, well oiled and spotless! Personally I think Jordan has found the perfect way to keep us entertained, and if we're willing to subsidise it then so much the better, I mean, as far as we know he's not some 65 year old multi-millionaire who is on the take from all of us, (feel free to step in and correct me if I'm wrong of course!!!) but a regular kid like the rest of us, without the deep pockets to keep on financing and financing the growth of the site by himself, but who has now built a good solid platform from which to launch the rest of his career from (as well a keeping GT Planet ticking over ;)) 👍 (And how many of us wish we'd thought of it first?!!! 💡)

Premium is the way that you can get rid of all that unnecessary bombardment from internet ads. :irked: You pay for the priviledge of not dealing with countless "Congratulations, You've been selected to receive 2 free* Apple iPhones" nonesense. *N.B. "Free" in Marketing speak means you sign away any rights you may previously have had to keeping any dignity you previously had! :p

The Premium forum is there, but to my mind, that's not what Premium is about......is it worth visiting? Cough up & find out!!!
Premium Platinum? Huh! Do me a favour. There's really no need. Those of us that're Premium do it for a reason, no adverts! It's not a status thing! Ok, it's easier for some of us to justify $50 than others, but that's the way the world works! I earned it, I'm spending it! You haven't earned it? Then it's not yours to spend!!!!
It's not an exclusive club for longtime members or members who post a lot, I'm aware of members who've been here >5 years, have 10,000 posts, and yet there are members whove been here 3 months, posted 6 times, and still bought Premium.
The PM box size is nice, a larger avatar, well, I suppose it stands out a little more (if you have artistic talent, which sadly, I lack in abundance!!!! :()

Here's something to bear in mind though, Premium doesn't come with any guarantees. If you're a low quality poster, don't expect any favours come bannination time, just 'cos you're Premium. The AUP applies to each and every one of us, paid up, or not!!! ;)

It certainly does!
