I've only golded all of B, most of A, and have just taken the others as they've come.

I think it's possible to get all of them...but it will take a bit more effort I think.

I think I could do better...I have a lot of improvement left in me lol

i've got ALL golds in ALL licences with sixaxis... i' too competitive not too. i'm one of those who say's "just one more go just one more go" lol

Oh and also.... i set up y controller for triggers and ONLY use manual.. it kicks DS3's ass in some races.. i have both so i can say that :P but i enjoy the DS3 more

Its exact same but one vibrates :S

hm maybe i should turn vibrate off maybe :P??

Okay... so I'm currently stuck at 57Golds here. Was trying to get gold for the S-8 license and I got stuck there for like an hour and gave up. Will be trying again tomorrow, and hopefully that is when I can get all 60 Golds! :D
Get into 8th place around turn 2 in whichever way you prefer, you should then be passing the Maserati in turn 4. Pass the next two as soon as you can and make sure you don't slow any more than necessary into Degner; you want to be moving into 3rd place under the bridge, and be on the back of the GTR around the hairpin.

The ASM is a real pain in this test, but if you can be in the right place at those points, you'll be fine.

I can't speak for myself but I have a few friends on my list that have all Gold just using the DS3. For myself; half gold, half silver. Mainly because I just rushed through the later half of the licences.

Hoping to get gold on rest when time permits ;)

Its not too hard to get some golds, just take your time and retry it if you don't get what you want. I got National A+B and now International C to come, all gold. The most times i needed for a test to pass is like 4 times.

P.S. I done it with DS3 with Gas/Brake with X and Squar (Due to my 6 year GT experience... :sly: )

By the way: The Buttons on the DS3 are nearly all analog. I learned this on the PS2 with GT3: You can control the throttle quite good with the X button!

So far I have pretty much all silver and gold using the wheel and maybe a couple bronze here and there. I run every career race and online race using the wheel. I plan on going back through licenses with the PS3 controller only so I can get gold. A wheel is truly the only way to play the game and I only use the wheel. But as for licenses some are absolutely difficult and some I have repeated 40 times and only get silver, that's when I bust out the controller :D

First on topic: for the rally events/licences try putting your LSD to 65-35 front rear instead of the baseline 70-30, gives you more grip when accelerating out of a corner without getting any noticable understeer, makes getting gold alot easier.

Is that even possible when doing licenses or challenges? If yes, care to explain?

So far, I'm doing quite well with the licenses. The biggest bitch thus far must be IB-3, with the FT-86.

Had to start over got all gold on the first 5 licences, back up to 4 this run through using a Ds3.

Well I just got all 60 Golds a few days ago so... :D
All with my DS3 none the less... but sadly I was really disappointed with the cars you get in Gold. I guess I could say the license was "a bit" easier compared to the previous series, so I guess that is why... :guilty:

DS3 only.

I still only have 40 gold and 20 silver ( although I didn't try to gold some more in the last 2 weeks ).
Anyway, did the Eiger Loeb challenge on first try ( or let's say first finish, bumped into the invisible walls a few times ). Just make sure to set ALL assistent programs ( apart from ABS ) to 0 in each event ( Although i have them set to 0 in my personal settings, some assistent programs were active, which made proper rally drifting impossible ) Then it's a walk in the park for a guy like you, who unlike me, did all licences on gold.
Just race the car really hard, push it, no need to drive carefully. Did it yesterday, I remember having a 1.21 at the exit of the hairpin, at least I think so. Did it by a second, wasn't that great in the last third of the track, since I drove it the first time ever.
AMG Acadamy. I used the default setting of the cars, and again, drive the car harder than on other licence tests. The Nordschleife requires an agressive aproach, use the curbs, try to find a smooth line and beat the Benz to death ;-)

Also I noticed that the racing line GT offers is way off sometimes in some events, rally and AMG for example. Sometimes you can easily go at full throttle in red zones for a fe seconds, and you have to in order to get gold.

Speaking of gold and Loeb challenge, I am having a problem to gold the snow level. Hell, I even needed 3 full attempts for bronze.
I remember also having had a few problems to gold the snow rally licence test, but I did it in the end ( had to eliminate some of my drifting, replaced it with slow driving, which doesn't suit my driving style, but improved my time ). The Loeb challenge in Charmonix seems just as hard, but for 4 min instead of like 1.30. Pretty tough for me at least.
I have the impression, that my personal style is agressive and hard driving, which makes some licences and tests extremly easy, others which require patient and careful driving all the harder.
In a more positive light I might say that I am more of a Hamilton than a Button. ;)

Anyway, good luck for the special events mentioned above, I'm not the best driver out there, if I could do it, you can aswell.

Update :

Didn't play the game for a week, today I tried the Loeb Chamonix track again - First try : 4.20, second try 4.18.
No aids on except ABS level 1, which was good enough to gold the first two Loeb challenges easily, basically on first try.
So I figured, let's change the settings a little bit and I did :
ABS 1, active stability control on, active steering : strong, ( the one above active steering, sth like drift-stop translated word by word from my German menu ) : on, traction control : off

firts try, 4:09,978, over 6.5 seconds below gold time.

Wow, I guess I have to retry a few of my 20 silver licences againw ith some changes in the setting department.

Chamonix from hell to piece of cake by clicking a few options in the setting screen...

I got all gold with DS3 - the worst of it is by far running into other cars, especially on IA10. Turning all the aids off with TCS set to 1 or 0 helps a lot. Using the right analog stick for gas/brake helps control your power/braking too.

Remember: braking at the threshold of impending lockup stops you faster than 1) locking up your brakes, or 2) having ABS kick in. You need to control the strength of the braking force you are applying, but when all else fails it is nice to have ABS kick in and at least keep you from going into a 4-wheel drift.

Also - pay attention to your shift points. If you aren't making the time for gold, you may be using a car that has a lower power band and running it into the redline means sacrificing speed (and therefore precious time). Try shifting into the next highest gear earlier. Sometimes this can be 500 to 1,000 rpm before redline - especially in turbo cars. Using automatic obviously removes this technique as an option.

I have all golds on licenses with a DualShock. Takes time and many attempts, but you do get there in the end.
