I have not used this word much (Or at all really) so I guess I'm a little unknowing on what it really is? Sorry for using it incorrectly. People around here definitely use it incorrectly.
 
Its getting really bad. I can barely find 2 clean lobbies that have decent racing. Why are all the good racers disappearing from online?

Because good racers seek out other good racers. Most of them are in racing series that take part in lounges, rather than in open lobbies.
 
As jimmywizz said, private rooms is where it is at. jimmywizz is one of about 60 guys I race with on a regular basis. go join a club, plenty out there, GT5 just keeps getting better for me, have no need to race in open lounges.

Open lounges are just full of stupid kids that have never played previous GT's and think that it's some kind of arcade game where dirty racing is the way to go.

My hours are usually erratic online and sometimes I don't feel like racing for a while so a racing series just won't work out. Plus there is something cool about racing random different people that know how to race. Oh well RIP online racing lobbies.
 
I can't say I've noticed if I'm honest, I only race with people on my friends list so I just go to the community tab and join from there, every night I can go on and get a good full lobby of clean PP races this way. When you find a good room you should ask the host is it ok to send a FR, then that means you can easily find his rooms in the future ;)
