Eiger is the worst track EVER....especially when you're playing with a controller..i think i might get the DS3 dual shock, this should help feed the steering in.

I don't think Eiger is the worst track ever. I like it better than New York and Seoul in GT4. That being said, I must say that I am literally sick to death of it. After running hundreds and hundreds of laps around Eiger in GTHD, I cringed when I saw that all the current Time Trial events were on that track! I was going to "bite the bullet" and run a few TT's, but I decided to take a break until the next update and went back to racing online in Live For Speed. I can't wait till the majority if the online events go back to normal.

PD, please give us a little variety here. Is that asking too much?

Eiger aint bad for a tarmac'd rally track. It's a damn sight better than london as far as I'm concerned. Only problem I have with it is it's hellish slow in sector 1.

I personnally think that the change in the online events has caused a few of us to go away from competative online racing. Not to say this game is dead or anything, just that some people might have prefered the previous events.

People preferred the previous events because they were R3-tyre events and if you ask me, R3 tyres are for pu**ies with no skill. Funny how many so-called 'good' racers started flying off the track all of a sudden and how no-one can handle a rear wheel drive car. Everyone has switched to 4WD and no disrespect to the 4WD guys, but the true racers out there who can be seen dicing with you up front in F430s are the real deal.

Anyone who can handle an MR or FR car and run against the 4WD brigade on Suzuka deserve major cred. And yeah, if people have fallen off, it isn't because of the new events, it's just that they're lousy drivers.

I think there was a train station at Eiger Nordwand I think I saw a few people on the platform....

Hell yeah! I don't even count the w4d's on suzuka - either there's another RWD on the track or I've won the race, regardless of being punted into the kitty litter.

Sticky tyres have their place in the 750pp events tho. They don't make it easier there - just faster!

But PD really ought to relegate 600pp 4WD's to the beginner events where they belong :sly:

i said Eiger is **** not the new events, i spend quite a bit of time on suzuka pp600, HSR pp600 and suzuka pp500! and most of the time i race on these are in the M3 or F430.

I know it is your opinion about the new races you wrote and for sure I respect it.

But,every racer is free to choose his type of car.

I like to race in both,4WD and FR and I don't like to put in a box such as a easy 4WD racer or pro FR racer.

We all have different skills on the track so lets respect that.:)

Oh my,
where have all these elitists come from? Honestly guys, people can drive whatever they wish to drive without the fear of a bunch of elitists putting them down for it, especially here. 👎

If you want to talk diving skill, then wait for private rooms that won't have the same conditions that you currently base your own skill on. How's that for being elitist?

aha, just waiting for it..... :dopey:

and i say for example the EVO X is not the top car in the moment @ Suzuka 600pp. if there is a good driver with an R8 or also F430 or something else i must fight a lot. 👍👍

it´s up to the racer.....💡

I'm just curious, how many of you guys are using tcs on your mr/fr cars for 600pp s2/s2 races?
what ever i race with whether it be FR, MR, 4WD, FF on R, S or N tyres i always have TC, ASM and all the other aids off except ABS which is left to 1.

i'd say the majority use the same as me and the proper purists have evertything off including abs.

Well then, if the majority is that confident of their driving ability and seeing as how in theory an mr or fr should be a faster car, then why cry about others using 4wd? ;)

I didn't play GT5P for 2 weeks because of GTA IV. I think there a lot of people doing the same. I notice fewer people too. I'm in a lot of 2 or 3 player races.

Also are a lot of people racing the F1 car? And now there are more race types causing people to spread out more.

I haven't been on GT5P since the day after the last update, I ran it for a couple of sessions over the two days with the S2 tyres and I personally prefer racing tyres.
Thats not to say I can't race with the S2 tyres! It's just lots more work and I prefer 'an easier to drive hitting the apex's easier and getting as many bends as fast as possible' kind of race whilst battling with opponents, I am not a fan of having to be careful and tip toe on the throttle most of the way around the track and losing the ass of the car for no good reason other than trying to move the car forward :p .. an S2 race once in a while is ok if it's prearranged with some friends 👍

But! to have it forced upon us is a bit of a piss take imo :( Just when I was starting to enjoy the R3 pp600 races and joining in most nights it was just taken away like that? I don't think I'm a pussy for not enjoying S2's though! I just don't like the increased 'margin of error' thats involved.

Anyway ... roll on the next update and hopefully they will take pity on the lesser skilled drivers like me that enjoy racing with racing tyres ;) 👍

You're a hell of a driver Rudi, I can't get close to you even when I'm driving the same machine. Don't you think it's about time you moved up to proper cars? :sly: I'm sure you could manage.:D

Possibly worried that his 2nd place was in jeopardy or maybe he was driving the EVO with road tyres and the grip was not so clever at that instance :sly:

:p

Explain to me please - where is this "outside" of which you speak? I've had a look in the menus and it's nowhere to be seen.

Outside (noun) : where the pizza delivery guy comes from. Syn. exterior
Inside (noun) : where the car trying to pass was, on the vid 2 posts above.

P3nt4gr4m I beleive is on PAL, so I don't think I could ever race him/her. I would like to however. Just haven't had the time here of late to do much online racing. I have a 7 1/2 month old daughter that eats up alot of my TV. Winnie the Pooh DVD's eats up alot of my time now...but its all good! I love being a new father, wouldn't trade it for anything! She'll be an Indy 500 winner!! She likes to watch her Daddy race. GT5:P will never die in my house. Sorry I was all over the place here. Its Memorial Day and I'm a Veteran so I'm drinking booze and cooking on the BBQ today. I salute all vetrans today!! In all nations...thanx for all you have sacrificed. Happy racing everyone!

When i feel like chilling, i just do some solo runs round Eiger or online races in a car which is easy to drive like an Evo or something.

So for me, no, this game is far from dead in my eyes regardless of how many people play it, when it boils down to it, I'm playing the game so as long as i can get a race when i want (which i usually can) I'm happy.

when i chill out i kick terrorist ass on COD4!!

Here's P3nT4gR4m only 12 days ago driving one of his "proper cars", and also showing off his driving skills at the finish line. :sly:

I knew this bit of footage would come in handy one day. ;)

Ouch - way to kick a man when he's down :O If memory serves I was actually trying to give you the place too, after KO'ing you earlier in the race but you came up the wrong side of me :banghead:

Honestly people - you gotta believe me - this is NOT one of my typical moves

I believe you mate 👍 .... still looks like Sphinx 1-0 P3nT4gR4m to me though! ... haha :sly:

Take it with a pinch of salt ;)

Yeah - I laughed when I saw the clip but then I got a bit concerned about how bad it made me look. Don't want people round here thinking I'm one of 'those' idiots :nervous:

for the record the apology for that incident is here

yes you are right in theory the MR or FR should be the faster car, but the difference is how much easier it is to drive the 4wd to the limit consistently...its comparable to a RWD with all driving aids on imo. it takes real skill to pull out on the limit times in a RWD consistently whereas in a 4WD it is a lot easier, hence Men drive RWD. Boys drive 4WD.:sly:
