My question is, the Audi R8 LMS '09 and the team Playstation variant, are they turbocharged or naturally aspirated?
I know the road cars are turbocharged but I dont know about the LMS version.

My guess is that it is. If you go to the tuning shop and the turbo section if the super-charger is not avail then I'd assume it already has one.

Are you talking about the R8 V8, and V10 road cars or the race cars?
The race cars are turbocharged, the road cars are NA, the R8 V8 road car has the same engine as the Audi RS4, the V10 version has the same basic engine as the Lamborghini Gallardo.

In GT5 you can increase Hp by Mid-range and High-Range turbos on ALL race cars (that I've seen), regardless if they are or not in reality.

The road cars aren't turbocharged.

thats weird! if the audi race car isn't turbo!
sometimes i don't understand race cars
u would think turbo would be the way to go
but i guess the rpm's are better controlled without
a turbo with so much hp at the wheel's.

Turbos are illegal in GT3 and the R8 LMS uses a V10 anyway so its got enough grunt. Turbos in GT are really just another thing to go wrong with the car (bearings overheating, chance the turbo could lunch itself, etc). The diesel and small capacity petrol prototypes use turbos so they can have more power for a smaller displacement and are generally better able to keep a turbo cool and running at its best compared to a GT car.

The R8 V8, R8 V10 and R8 LMS (not the LMP car) are all naturally aspirated.

OK, thanks 👍 I wasn't sure because my R8 road cars are maxed out and they seem to have the turbo gauge when i drive them. Good, now I know that the stock R8 is naturally aspirated. 👍

Why do we need a thread for this? The game has an In-game Car description feature via the garage - Wish people would use it.

Thanks for the 'compliment'. I'm away from my Playstation right now and am overly enthusiastic to know the answer, right now. I'm an impatient teenager. :ouch:

Your statement shows that you are completely in the dark regarding powertrain technology and how motorsports organizations run. I think it would do you well to read up on motorsports and the rules they have in place, as well as some engineering literature on the pros and cons of forced induction.👍
