Loss of speed? So you say it actually slows down?

You can tune it so that it doesn't spin or loses speed, but of course, that might not be the fastest tune then. I never tried to run 1/4 with it.
I sould have said loss of pull. I still gain speed slowly while driving on ice.

I absolutely adore the Veyron! It saddens me the Gumpert Apollo is not in the game, though:(. Why you ask?

Because the two cars are very comparable. What the Veyron has in speed the Gumpert makes up in sheer cornering ability. In all other games I've experienced this combo would be the ultimate rivalry. We still have the Huayra though, but I doubt the Veyron can give it a lot of competition when the track has more than two corners...

It's great for draft races , but steers like it uses a rudder rather than wheels , get a few people on the test track and its fun

Even as a top speed car it has fewer available upgrades than other insanely powerful cars, and it becomes more unstable than you can imagine when the spoiler drops at speed if you've done weight reduction--I mean so unstable that it actually slows down due to loss of contact with the tarmac. Granted I last tested this on 1.01 but it's not appealing enough to me to buy it again.

I'm sure you've driven it in Super License Test 5. What did you think?

...

Hated that car. You can feel through the wheel that this one weighs as much as a Ford Transit and I wonder if the brakes are the same as well. Stay clear.

For what it is and the cars that are out there, I would only buy it just to add to the premium collection and to horse around. If you plan on doing high end racing online, I'd stick with learning how to drive the FXX and Zonda R or Huayra or build a super car to meet the level of the Veyron.

EDIT:

Or just get a McLaren F1 it doesn't take much to make it faster than a Veyron.

The Vision GT Mercedes is free and replaces the Veyron. I would say the Lexus LFA Nordshleife edition is what you're looking for. The LFA also handles well in the wet races in the middle of the IA level. Top speed is over 250mph even in the wet and gets there fast with NOS.

Veyron is the biggest piece of garbage in the game. The only use it serves is practicing to get your CDL. Stick with the FXX or Zonda R. Both are better in every respect.

I found the Veyron to be much less fun in GT6 than it used to be in GT5. I am another person who wishes that he had read this thread prior to spending 2M precious credits.

If you do the S-License you get to drive one.
After that you know there is no need to buy it :D

I already understood (From S-License and is Forum) that i won´t be needing buy a Bugatti, but i still have not understood what is the diference between the 2009 and 2013 model? Appart from the year, i found them to be just the same...

I did the licence test with it a couple of days ago and only did a couple of runs to get Bronze. Having never driven it before, and having read about it in the forums, I was a bit apprehensive about it and expected it to run wide in every corner and hit walls etc....but I was quite surprised and pleasantly so. I actually enjoyed driving it. Yes it is a behemoth that needs some finesse to get it round but it handles and brakes a lot better than I was expecting...maybe my style of driving is suited to it (brake very late, chuck it into the corner, hope for the best and then power out of the corner....hmmm, okay that's not much in the way of finesse lol)

Lmao that is the most accurate comparison of the turning radius of a bugatti, semi-truck. But honestly though i know your struggle it took me over 30 tries to even manage bronze :/
I managed to get gold. Take a random guess of what you had to do and use throughout the test? The freaking e-brake. I had to use the e-brake numerous of time to get the smei to turn.

Even in respect, The Veyron doesn't exist as a rivalry to two super track day fighters. You're forgetting that the Veyron is a luxury item. It's not really about having the best car for an event.. I used the Tesla Model S in the American/Muscle Car events. Why? Even though I could've easily brought out my Ford GT which is clearly a better car. Why not use a electric car and smash the big motor opposition? Brilliant good fun.

To be honest, I thought that last S-license test was sublime at best. Here you have a track based on a luxury resort with luxury hypercar. It was a wonderful message.
