I had a discussion with another guy on this board about engine sounds,...I am convinced that the game uses SYNTH!!!, am i right, or am i wrong, please reply..

Thanx;)

I heard that they were real, my friend SpoonSports had a Playstation Underground cd that had a vid of Gt2 and the creator had the cars at the dyno and stuff so i think they r real. I might be wrong but its what i think.

Yes they are real. They have been recorded from each manufacturers cars for the game and I believe that sound is digitized for the various aspects of the game.
I think its cool to hear the engines.
If you have a performance engine and play the game, you can relate to the sounds of the engine.
There is nothing like the symphony of valves, intake, cams, and exhaust going in high rpms either on the game, or in real life.
Later.

Misblu nice link to the site. I love it, with the ferrari and all.

Ill admit it, nice jugs, decent car, lol, j/k.

P.S. im not really kidding

Yes, there are real recorded sounds of the engines in the game...just like i said in your other similar thread...but some moron named Z06 said i was wrong even though i proved i was right...

I read a artile in Car and Driver when GT2 came out about how the creator went all around the world testing cars, just to make sure everything in the game was near perfect... (Not a bad job :burnout: ) I can't imagine that anything was different in creating GT3...

And on a side not... the combination of the woman and the car is always a winning link... doesn't hurt that she is showing a bit too!!

Yeah, the sounds are more or less real. I heard that they just modified some of the sounds for cars they couldnt get to for recording. My favorite part is that the sounds inside and outside the car are accurate. Lots of people bitch about the sounds the engines make, but that probabally means they havent been inside an F1 car to hear them. Not that I have. One problem is that changing your exhaust dosent alter your sound. That kinda sucks.

Can the volume for different things be set in the game? I cant hear the music at all, and my engine is FAR too quiet while the bumps and other cars are screamingly loud.
