I have got the fgt and the top speed is 350km per hour

It is faster than the f2007 and the 2010 models

Thx

A simple search probably would have answered your question immediately because I'm pretty sure I've read many threads about this, and i think the consesus is that the F2007 is the easiest to drive and is usually the fastest of the three for most people for that reason.

The FGT is definitely faster that those two. The top speed i mean.
But if you're talking about track timing, it's F2007 job. 👍

FGT has a higher top speed, F2007 is faster on mid-high speed tracks and the F10 is fastest on tight tracks.

However good that video is, it in my book is void because the nordscheilfe is far too long to get consistency lap in lap out to get a true accurate result.

Personal choice would be F10, F2007 and FGT in that order.

It would be an interesting race to see these 3 slug it out. I think that F2007 will win, because F10 is the slowest and FGT and it slow at the corners. (Spins very easy, understeers some times, also lack of downforce for so powerful machine) But anything can happen.

I made a video comparison of the 5 fastest cars in the game also the 3 Formulas.
My track was Suzuka because it has nice slow and fast corners and long straights.
I used the cars completely tuned but without changing anything at the suspension.
Just maxed aerodynamiks and adapted the gearbox to the track.

Result:
1. Red Bull X2010: 0.59,147
2. Ferrari F2007: 1.24,944
3. Ferrari F2010: 1.25,374
4. Formula GT: 1.25,801

5. Toyota Minolta: 1.37,700

The Ferraris have a huge advantage because of more aerodynamikpoints so you are realy fast through the first part of the track.

Just for some perspective, the FGT can be considered 2004's X2010. It's not based on a physical car and is just the idea of the "ultimate F1 car" in the year 2004. Now that there have been advancements in the technology since then, the other two more modern F1 cars have the advantage on many tracks. The FGT is still faster in a straight line and will put up a superior top speed, but there are certain tracks that the more aerodynamic Ferraris will put up quicker times by virtue of cornering advantages, etc.

That all being said... The FGT remains the best bang-for-buck purchase overall as far as GT Life is concerned, so that is the one I recommend buying first. Eventually, I think it's best to just own all three once you have disposable credits.

I can do most of the 'S corners flat with the F2007 but its not as smooth with the FGT...ferrari has more downforce but the FGT has more straight line speed

I always got the impression that the FGT was supposed to be somewhat based on the Ferrari f2004, although after reading the description they specifically mention its venturi tunnels or something about aerodynamics in the floor which f1 didn't have. And the slick tires.

The FGT remains a mystery to me. It's not really 2004's X1. It's not based off of 2004 F1 cars, it's got a V12 engine with slicks and is wider than 2004 spec F1 cars. It's really just a Polyphony F1 car, a car that they created just for the sake of it, unlike in GT3, the F1 cars were all based off of existing ones.

Anyway, regarding speed. The FGT is considerably faster in a straight line than the Ferrari's, but the Ferrari's are FAR easier to drive, and will spit in the FGT's face around the corners. The F2007 is the easiest of the cars to drive, as it oversteers quite a bit less than the F10, but in capable hands, the F10 can stay with the F2007 at any race track, and may be able to beat it at Cote d' Azur.

It's about as loosely based on F1 as the X2010 (as in it's mostly in spirit and not in technical specs), but you have a good point.

I agree. FGT isn't based on a F1 car, because it's wider than allowed. if you have used the Ferrari F1's you see that they are so much skinnier than the FGT.

Awesome drive man!!! Can you provide the setups for F2007 and X2010? (Aero, Brakes, Gearbox)

Thanks!

AleX

Aero on Max., Brakes - standart, Gearbox in the Ferrari about 340-350 km/h Max-Speed, For the X1 on 420km/h.

What kind of tune does the FGT run in the video's.I had alot of fun on Monaco GP weekend thrashing around the F10.

FGT is a combination of the ultimate (at the time) F1 specs - the pre-1998 wide body, ground effects, 2004-spec wings, V12 engine, slick tyres etc. To me it looks like a cross between the Williams FW18/19 and the F2004 with the V12 engine from the 1995 Ferrari 412T2. The only things its missing are active ride suspension, turbos and maybe a fan - but these are all now covered in the X2010 (well, apart from active ride). Perhaps the idea of the FGT is to be the ultimate F1 car but done faintly realistically?

Who cares with speed? Choose the ferrari's f1.No more boring standards!

I've doen some research on the 2 Ferraris, and i've got the solution to the F10's problem somewhat. Suspension settings.

The default settings between the 2 are words different. If you copy the exact suspension settings that the F2007 has onto the F10, you get a much easier car to drive, and a much better lap time. It's now, with both cars on even ground ,that you see the advantages and disadvantages of each much more clearly.

The F10 has considerably more mechanical grip, meaning the grip of the tyres to the road, so for example, at the first sector of the Nurb GP track, the F10 is ahead of the F2007, which understeers and wiggles for traction in sector 1. It is in sectors 2 and 3, the more aerodynamic sectors, that the F2007 can make up for the slow S1 and in the end put down a better lap time, as the F10 struggles at high speed compared to the F2007, which is far easier to drive at high speed and rides bumps better.

So, bottom line, the F10 isn't necessarily slower, it's got less aerodynamic grip, and more mechanical grip, which, at tracks like Cote d' Azur, can put it ahead of the F2007, but the F2007 is a lot more nimble, and easier to drive, so it may sometimes give you the better laptime in the end.

The Formula GT is quite a bit faster I'm sure then both Ferrari's, it's just most people can't control it. Also, I think the F10 is faster then the F2007 but that maybe because I have a tune on both of them....
