This question has probably been asked already more than a few times. And, I probably have a thing or two to learn about searching forums because I couldn't find the answer.

Is there a way to export the video replays directly from the PS3?

Or, are players running an output to a PC and just recording the races on the HDD of their PC's?

A lot of the videos appear to be captured using a digital camera set in front of the TV/monitor. It would be nice to know if there's another way to do it though.

Thanks in advance and sorry for asking what is probably a frequent question.

Some use their pc.

If you have a DVD recorder, you can connect your PS3 directly to the DVD recoder and record the lap or replay on a DVD. You can run this DVD on your pc and use a program to convert the video clip in the right format which is used to upload it to youtube.

Convert program: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Download this program and install it on your pc.

I plug the playstation cables to my pc ports and with a 'PowerCinema' you can record it. :)

Useless post of the year award. What cable? What port? So that means any PC can take video in and make a video from it?

I have 2 desktops and a laptop. Currently none of them can take a video in signal.

There's a link in my sig that gives you the basics.

Jeesz sorry for being so useless, i dont know what the ports are called etc, i think its the aux cables (red/white/yellow) into the back of the pc which has port for it, just like on the tv. In the powercinema you can go that channel, which is normally for dvd players etc :)

STFU

You just gave an answer that didn't help nobody, namely the OP. It's like the guy was asking how to do something and you replied: "I can do that" and nothing else.

:)

And i am sorry for the confussion. But picc asked on a nicer way without the 'shutup feel' ;) but thats mine feel. Had a long day with hospitals, always works on my nerves. Anyway hope its clear now, would be nice to have a screenrecorder with PS3 though :)
