Is there anyone here who hasn't traded/recieved a car yet?

I have yet to trade or receive either. I don't really want to ruin my gt life career by having overpowered cars, although I can see the appeal for rare cars like-for-like, arcade and seasonal event loaning

I've given a few to friends, but haven't received any yet. I seem to be a bit ahead of all by buddies in GT5, so I get requests when they are desperate. They always give them back when they are done though.

Never traded, or recieved anything, earned the X2010, really pisses me off how much cheating goes on through trades.

I put one up for available, not because I don't hate the cheating, but because sometimes I get a car in my UCD that is rare, but not my choice. I thought, "hey maybe I can get something for it". Unfortunately the cheater guys take all the space up in the market place so unless someone is specific, they won't find my ad.:grumpy:

I have never traded nor recieved a car from anyone.

ditto. I don't have any really special cars, and the stuff I'm looking for (mainly N1 level touring cars etc) probably isn't in demand.

edit: I did receive my 5 'free' cars for buying the Collector's Edition, however.

I have yet to make a single trade or gift, but I have been offered two or three X1s by friends and relatives.

Not accepting. Want to stretch out my enjoyment a little bit longer (I didn't bother playing with the racing cars in GT4 until I was at least 75-80% through).

I will likely trade sometime in the future. Lots of unusual cars rolling through the UCD, and there might be one or two I see that someone else wants, or might be one I want that I can't find. (On a side note, I'm glad that the Alfa Giula isn't so rare... it's come up twice for me now. Next time around, I'll be ready for it).

I kind of understand the pain of the poster who put up a thread in his (futile) search for the Nismo 400R.

I have never traded nor recieved a car from anyone.

Likewise. A guy on another board said he was going to give me one (as a gift), but never came through. I would feel cheesy asking him why it never came. ;)

Just like saving up for something, it feels much better to earn it. I remember when i bought the F430 scuderia after saving and saving it felt amazing to finally get in cockpit view, no HUD and lap round the ring.
For me personally just getting given cars defeats the purpose of the game, but each to their own.
Never traded, never will.

I got a Chromeline Jag from Facebook if that counts.

Oh yeah that one too. So I have received 2 free cars but not thru trading just Codes.

I have no interest the whole trading thing. If I want a certain car bad enough I will win the race, reach the level. I don't drive Standards unless I have too, so again I just poke in there once in awhile(okay almost never) just to see if there is any "hey that car" types that I will just pad my garage for looks(mostly classics)

Okay I wouldn't mind trading for the Green and Yellow or Black and Silver FGT's as I have the Blue one that I bought like 3 days before the patch :banghead: So yeah I love paying 4,8 Million for a new paintjob...

I have a Yellow and Black(not bad Jordan looking) one right now in OCD and before that it was Red. But not colours I want at 4.8 mill a pop.

While I only used the FGT in the series so far but I would still like those colours.
So I may wait it out and see what colour comes up next.
But that is the only "trade" I am even mildly interested in.

Checking in as a solo player here, I have 190 cars, and would like to acquire all 1031.

It seems like that could be quite a challenge though

29 A spec
35 B spec

"solo" player here, though I have "traded" for the first time yesterday...

explanation:
Won a nascar as lvl 21 gift ticket. Great, cheers, have 1. So I gave it to a friend who will struggle later in the game... who felt bad so sent me a yaris in reply. Sold it for >4,000CR
Apart from that though....

I've only traded because I want to collect cars, it's pretty fun, I don't work the gifting system to my advantage.

I've gifted like 2/3.000.000 credit worth cars/items to my friends and I did receive a Fiat Panda ie '90 in exchange from one of them. :dopey:
Honestly, I find that money are quite easy to grind. I've got dozens of cars I didn't even raced once (yet).:)

nope

since i havnt gotten a dublicate car i havnt given any away.

also i dont know anyone who has the game (irl) and i dont want cars :p

I have sent one used Mustang to a friend who had just picked up the game. I have not received any trades.

I haven't done any trades, but like some others, its down to the simple fact that none of my mates have it (well, until recently) but even so, my internet isn't that great, I wouldn't trust it much..... that should change in the next few months though :)

I picked up my 100th car last night, about 28of them are Premiums :D

I aim to collect em all, at some point too

Rollin solo, not because I wouldnt trade cars or even take dupe cars, I'm just slowly slushing through the game. I have 3 guys who play it on my friends list, but never asked about trading or anything.

I've never given a car to or received one from someone. Everything in my garage was acquired by myself 👍

I can't be the only one who's been progressing solo in this game? :dunce:

I've got over 600 cars, every one either bought or won or in the case of the 2 stealth cars recieved through a code. I've gifted cars to friends that I've had 2 of, usually bought from the used car dealer by accident but haven't took anything in return.

I have traded once to get by in the game. I purchased the Formula GT and traded with a friend for a Chap 2J to do the historic. Otherwise all trades are for fun cars I don't use to race with. Otherwise, 100% grinding on my own. Even then, I have many cars to do the Historic event, I just wanted to use the 2J cause my friend didnt have much else to trade me with.

Nope, I never traded yet or even gone online racing, the game is keeping me busy, there's so many events to do.
