I hate to be picky, but what tires were you running, as well as any aero upgrades?

i know its cheaty but RS tires :( sadly, and full body kit front extensions and wing, cant remember the amount of aerodynamics but yea

If you're a first timer then that lap isn't bad. With a bit of practice you'll find yourself shaving upwards of 10 seconds off of that lap. Just keep going at it. Once you've gotten accustomed to RS tires, try downgrading to SS tires. It not only makes it more challenging to set a good lap given that they're glorified street tires, but it also makes winning races offline or online more challenging. Basically, if you're up for a decent challenge, try downgrading to Sports Soft tires. ;)👍

i know i can get atleast 15-20 seconds off of that lap time, since i did screw up a couple of times here and there but nothing major, but im not a first timer, ive tuned that s2k perfectly for that track that i cant spell, all it needs is a better driver behind the wheel, its been a while since i played gt5, probly upwards of 6 months so id say its not a bad time

Try getting a good tune on the car and I'm sure you will bring that time down greatly.

did u read my last post?

Sorry mate I did not. Then my only suggestion would be keep running laps and you will notice your laps dropping slowly

Indeed, for example, I was runing the Escudo in RH tires, stock , all ads off except ABS on Eiger and in 15 laps I lost 16 seconds ..

frm 1:15 to 0:59

So, with a lot of training you will get there, also having the ghost on also helps :D

Many street cars at 500pp RS are running around 6:50 and around 6:30-35 at 550pp.

It's a horsepower track...The downforce will not give you anything good.

but it will help my car to be more stable around corners and will help keep my tires planted

As others have said : practice, practice and then even more practice. Concerning the downforce bit : in my personal experience you don't even have to run full downforce. Bearing in mind that less downforce means higher topspeed it's a balancing act between corner stability and top speed 👍

i never said it was at full downforce

Even if it isn't at full downforce, you can still lower it to gain a bit more topspeed which in turn can help you overcome the hp disadvantage...
Maybe next time when you mention that it has been tuned, post the tune to avoid misunderstandings considering downforce/gearging/something else
