Is this DLC just a first stage of more DLC?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm a bit dissapointed with the new DLC. Except for the Karts, (being a karter myself) the kart track, and Spa. I was expecting tons of new LMP and GT cars like the new Aston Martin Lola and the Audi R18, or the Jaguar XKR GT cars, and the new Mclaren MP4- 12C GT3 or the Mercedes SLS GT3 car. Not just RM Japanese cars! It even has a Prius Touring Car! They've spent a while I've heard making this. (years maybe) And they come out with this? So I think this just may be a Sample. Let's Hope!!! Btw I'm still happy with the DLC but you would also expect more tracks. Still, I hope Kaz just made this to finally make us shutup just long enough for something Big! Let's hope!

I'm hoping it's not everything. Though the only thing I was dissapointed by was the cars (except the Challenger). Everything else I do like. Hope we get more though.

Somewhat misleading title... I was hoping for a new DLC hint :grumpy:. And a part of me feels like this isn't the only DLC we will see.

Hard to believe I'm actually looking forward to the POSus tourer. Should make for some pit-less endurance races :P. And while I may agree on your "they're Japanese cars!" comment- they're tuned at least and (hopefully) don't sound like a cat-in-a-can. I too want to see some more cars like the 458 Italia GT2/GT3 and the Avendor/Aventor (sp?), but I'm sure PD just wants to make sure everything works (it would be pointless to put out a fresh pack of sexy supercars you can't even install, right?).

I believe this probably just a test run to ensure people can buy, download, and use the DLC. I'm certain that Kaz wouldn't rip us off like that (Sony, maybe, but not Kaz) and will release some new cars later on (hoping for some F1/fantasy F1 cars ). We can only hope though- PD is a small team with a somewhat ruined rep sheet (thanks to all the reviewers who where "dissatisfied").

Expand your Gran Turismo experience with the first paid DLC (downloadable content) available on October 18, 2011
Notice how it says "first," this could be just a sample, it would make sense if they released really good DLC closer to the holiday season.

It's not like they're done with Gran Turismo. Upgrades will continue to come out!

Try only playing GT5 every other month.

@ParkourVeyron Very true, that's what I'm hoping for
But on the other hand, it could be that they mean the first true, paid DLC in the whole GT series.

The dlc cars do suck. I too was expecting better race cars. Am sick of all these skylines and miatas.
But that new Challenger looks pretty yummy. :dopey:

Damn, I was misled by the thread title, I had thought you found something in the game that led you to believe there was some new piece of info regarding DLC.

:(

I don't know if you guys have been paying attention to his twitter, but a few days ago he was retweeting people who were talking about future DLC and Kaz must have been having a little laugh to himself, hinting at it, he'd reply with things like "oh, more DLC you ask?" I'm convinced they already have finished stuff just waiting on release..

This will not be the only DLC, why would it be. It's a great source of revenue for PD. Plus, I would bet that over time and several updates all the standard interiors will be updated.

At two different times in the new opening movie(5:11 + 3:37) what looks to be the old Test Course(not confirmed tho, speculation only) can be seen. It looks to have day/night cycles too.

So id be pretty positive that this upcoming DLC is just the start. 👍

There's already 2 threads covering this subject. Check the Friggin threads before making new ones! It's not that hard.

Not going to bore you all with another wishlist so I will keep it simple. There are lots of cars in the game, its more tracks we need, Spa is awesome but lets keep them coming! Classic tracks will be a huge success with this beng such a long and popular series.

Who's to say that this DLC pack is nothing but a mere appetizer for what's going to come in the future...
