is this the real deal, or are "car" magazine being cheeky?

Has anyone seen the official photos yet? I've seen quite a few, but they are almost all different.

I like this one, but it is a bit too radical I think for BMW.

This seems more likely; it has a more M looking front.

This is also cool, but I think the rear flares are too big. The lights don't match either.

What do you guys think? Or have I totally spaced and missed everything. I found no solid BMW pics. The current 3 is not as spartan looking as the old cars, so I hope BMW does some stuff to make it look sportier.

The only "official" photos have been those of the prototype roaming around in California and in Germany. It was pretty roughed-up, plenty of dings and dents around the outside. A good guess will be that the M3 will be a very subtle change over the standard 335i, think the difference between a 550i and an M5. Traditional M-spec lower fender flares, bigger wheels and tires, maybe a bit more of a fender flare, quad-exit exhaust, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of "porthole" on the side of the car similar to the M5 as well...
