Well, theres a hdd transfer kit to buy...or you could simply plug in your xbox hdd to your computerThat's Microsoft for you.
You can also only upload photos if you have a Gold account, like FM3. Which I think is a real scumbag thing for them to do. (Also the reason they won't let us save photos to a USB stick)

£35 per month? Per year. Worth every penny.
Perhaps for you, Slim but I don't play online, I don't upload photos or anything like that. I just purchase DLC from time to time on the Marketplace and enter any codes that need redeeming (i.e. VIP cars) and that's it.
Pre-order exclusive cars (like the Alfa Giulietta) can only be purchased with an XBL GOLD account???
So it's not enough to simply have an XBL account, I have to upgrade it to Gold for £35 a month just to get one car???
Where did you read this?
I've never heard of downloadable content that is limited to gold members only.
In addition the USB Stick thing has to do with copy protection so it may have a discriminatory effect against non gold member but not a discriminatory intent.
"Weve added a photo option called Big Shot. In Big Shot, there is no compression and the file is output at 3840x2160 resolution. Like regular photos in Forza 3, players can take Big Shots during races from the pause menu, from within replays, as well as in the career homespace (more on those below). Obviously, these Big Shot files are huge (click the image above to see a Big Shot at full size). As a result, you can only save a very limited number of these to the server at a time. As with WMV files in Forza 3, your best workflow will be to take a shot, upload it to the server, retrieve it and then replace it with another shot. Because Xbox 360 file I/O is encrypted, there is no support for saving these files in an unencrypted fashion to a USB drive for easy PC retrieval. On the bright side, with no compression and massive resolution, Big Shot produces print quality photographs."

Who told you that? It's a damn code u put in and retrieve.... You don't need gold for that, you need gold for the storefront, picture/video upload, auction house, gifting and online play. But for regular codes XBL silver is enough
Now, when T10 gift you cars, you need Gold...... many hate it and it's kinda wrong but, why have an xbox without gold? it's pretty useless without it. And yes I know money doesn't grow on trees, but a 3 month card aint that expensive
Read it on the Game website and the Gamestation website (UK) where they offer the Subaru Impreza & Mini Clubman S as pre-order exclusives.
That's what I thought tbh. I mean, to unlock one car you need Gold membership??? Seemed a bit strange....In any case, I'll have to settle with the crappy Impreza from Game since they are the only retailer who actually have the LCE available. Can't see too many people buying 5 different copies of the game just to get 5 cars.

"Terms and Conditions UK ONLY. Limited Offer while stocks last. Customers who have already pre-ordered this product will also receive the bonus item. You will need Xbox LIVE GOLD membership in order to access your bonus item ( If you don't have Xbox LIVE GOLD membership you can buy it now ).
The whole link to buy a gold membership after INCORRECTLY mentioning it as being a requirement seems less like a mistake and more like a scam.
If it's true, which I doubt. Just use your inevitable free 48hour trial card.
Easy.
I don't think that those exclusives are being marketed correctly.... it's kinda confusing
Does that mean that you start the game with that exclusive car in your garage? or is it that the only way to have that car in your game is preordering at that given retailer? I would be more inclined to think that it's the former and not the latter, cuz I would be raging if it was
