edit: The BBC found one member of the gang and emailed him for comment. He then emailed a whole bunch of other gang members who work in Gaza, forgetting to remove the BBC's email address from the reply list, thus handing the BBC the names and contact details of all of the other members of the gang :lol:

These guys are among the armed guards 'guarding' food distribution sites in Gaza, where hundreds of Gazans have been shot dead while waiting for aid.

This is not Muslim Vs Jew although I’m sure Netanyahu would like to sway all Jewish people over to his side.

Do Hamas need to be stopped? Of course but not at the expense of innocent people.

 
I must apologise to Trump and the US. It appears that they're not so reckless as to authorise & approve this attack. They're just so weak that Israel didn't even bother telling the US government that it was bombing a US ally that hosts a massive US airbase with 10000 personnel.

And of course not all Zionists are Jews - for example see the current US Ambassador to Israel and also UK politicians like Michael Gove - and not all Palestinians/Gazans are Muslim.

They can't. When a Jewish person speaks out against Israel in any way, they're labeled a bad Jew and shunned. We've been all but forgotten by a part of my wife's family because we don't support Israel and openly criticize it as committing genocide. The idea among many Jews is that Israel can't commit genocide because Jews swore "never again" after WWII. So because they were subjected to the Holocaust, they therefore can't commit genocide. It's the same mindset as someone who says only white people can be racist because minorities have often been persecuted by white people. The idea that X happened to some group, therefore that group can't commit X, is, unfortunately, pretty common.

Unfortunately, at least in America, most Jews are Zionists to some degree. While not all are as extreme, even the average Jew thinks Palestine doesn't have the right to exist. Ask an average Jew about the war and they support Israel unconditionally. There's an ingrained hate of Muslims.

Granted, not all Jews want Israel to go and kill the Palestinians. Most just want the Muslims to keep to themselves. It kind of reminds me of how the US was before and during the Civil War. The Confederates wanted slaves and didn't like blacks. While the US didn't want slaves, they weren't exactly fond of blacks either. So, the same thing with many Jews, they don't want to needlessly kill Muslims, but they still don't like them.

I would wager most Zionists aren't Jews. Christians often skew towards Zionism because Jesus was Jewish.

Unfortunately I’ve found that is the same here with people I know too. However I’d say for every one I’ve met who supports what Israel is doing there is another who doesn’t and the majority agree with actions taken against Hamas but not the everyday Muslims.
 
Literally better than nothing but not something that will move the needle, obviously. Ireland is strongly against the genocide being committed by Israel though, it's quite a defining aspect of current Irish discourse.
