Issues after 1.10 Update

I know, but 3.60 is not optional, it's a pain for us on 3.55. I had to delete my game data and re-update to 1.09 to be able to run my disk.

It's the first time a game update forces a firmware update to my knowledge.

How is this possible? You can't get online unless you installed update 3.60, so how do you expect to play GT5 with only 3.55?

Only things that are annoying that I have seen is that it seems the system with all that extra stuff added makes getting in and out of online rooms a longer task than it used to be and one time my mic wasn't recognized and all the audio from other mic users came through my speakers, left the room and came back all was well. Weird though, well I just installed the 3.65 update and will check out the stability later. So far there are a few niggles with the update but it's definitely making GT5 an easier experience to get into.

I can't get in to the game. It comes up with a black screen, and if i press x, it makes a sound, and then the GT logo apers, and from there i can't do anything.
I have updated the game, and the ps3.

Please help.

I have now tried to reinstall gt5, but that did not help either...

Anyone know what to do?
 
Freezing the chances of my ps3 freeze is more now
and online rooms freeze or jam when the host is laging

I keep getting a message that i need to set Time and Date, and i can't get passed that point. The message just stays there and i can't play the game... I reseted so many time and nothing seems to work. Even setting the time and date! Help?

Set via Internet in your ps3 xmb menu. Under setting.

Because that's what I've been playing it on Since I bought the Game ;) you don't have to be online to play GT5...... I never said anything about online play.

The update installs a 3.60 eboot replacing the 3.55 eboot. This forces anybody on 3.55 to update to 3.60 or later to run GT5. Or they have to delete the game Data and re-update to 1.09 stopping 1.10 from being installed.

PITA I get it, I know why they are doing it, but It's still BS.

I have a big Issue... I can't download the update, my ps3 marks than I have to wait 1300 minutes to get the update and after 10 minutes I just got a miserable 1% :indiff:, I've restarted my PS3 several times, I tried reseting my modem and... nothing :(

under network settings in the PS3 XMB theres a setting labeled "media server connection".. change the setting to "disable." If you actually use a media server you can reenable it after the update is complete
 
Severe flickering of lighting effects on SSR7.
 
my game gets hung up when trying to load anything. even going through the menus it'll lock up. man I'm starting to think nobody tested this patch before release. good job poly. pat yourself on the back.
 
Game freeze specially online, left a room got stuck still listenring voices for about 2 minutes multiple times, black screen twice in 1 night big deal here because id not even could quit the game = improper shut down twice NOT GOOD , car size on screen is all over the place, menu's taking a lot longer to load, car setup is messup after PD fixed the top speed 10mph gap.. don't get me wrong I been playing GT5 since nov 24th. 2010 , every update it seams PD does 2 steps foward to 5 steps backwards.


Really sucks cause id put a lot of hours setting cars specially my drag cars, the driving , take off, shifting somehow feels way off .. I have not yet had corage to test my beloved race cars....
 
Came home to a frozen screen...after about 20 successful remote races log shows it froze around 2:30EST while loading a race......
 
My game froze about 5 times today and I had trouble creating a lobby, others (on my friends list) had the same problem but we could join other rooms with no issues.
 
I can't buy certain parts from the car settings menu! I can't get the arrow to go to the shopping cart!

You are not getting replies because no one knows what to do. Your best bet was to delete your game and reinstall. Sorry to hear that.

If you turn off the Internet connection, don't sign in, or update, will the game open???

So you've deleted game data and save data, after a backup of the saved data. Then allow it to update, and the game will start with a new save data (and you are connected to the internet/PSN at this point). Now try to overight the new save data with your good one / backup. If the game does not load now, your save data may be corrupted.

If this didn't do it, reinstate the save data before the reinstall and update, the save may then be updated along with the game.

Did you backup your save before or after the update?? If after, do you have an earlier backup on another USB or on a laptop. Try these if so. Let me know what your situation is and exactly what you have done, this may be one for the PS Services to handle!

It takes about 20 seconds for my Favorited cars to load online, and sometimes it just freezes completely. And when I try to leave a room it gets hung up also.

Online problems such as this one may be server side and nothing to do with the update. Alternatively, there may be slight incompatabilities in the coding of the update and how it communicates with the servers. These problems can be fixed with live updates and don't necessarily require a patch or further update by PD.

Also, after an update you could assume more people are playing online and so on, therefore with increased traffic on the servers, it runs slower. In a weak these problems could be fixed, less people or live update... we'd never know. ;)

This happened to me before I updated the PS3 manually.

Reset your router, small button on back or bottom of it, you might need a pencil to press it, you need to hold it, or try to load the game with the Internet switched off, not PSN, the router/ modem itself, couldn't hurt.
 
When doing the Rome reverse time trial and following a top 10 ghost game freezes at the start/finish line after one lap every time. It's fine when I use my own ghost or no ghost
 
After not even being able to load the game...

I deleted the game data (not save data) and it worked ok. I then reinstalled all the patches. It let me in, then I did the 8GB install (to speed up the game) did one race and turned it off. Haven't tried it since so I don't know if the install has affected it.
