Well, yes, it seems there's always something going wrong in my life, but hey, I'm sick of it, too. I need to vent, anyhow.

After being kicked out of home a couple of months ago, things are seemingly going downhill. I had a car accident a couple of weeks ago. There was a car not far ahead turning down another street, the woman in front of me was undecided on whether to brake and stop behind the car, or drive around it. Instead, she slams the brakes on last-minute, almost slams into the car in front of her. My brakes in my 1982 Datsun Bluebird aren't as good as her 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer's, and naturally, I slam into the back of her. Noone was injured, the collision was very minor. The only damage visible was a dent the size of an Australian 20 cent piece. I get the damage quote in the mail stating that the damage costs were $1,004.81. I hit the roof. I mean, I knew it would be an R&R job, but logic tells me that a panel beater could have put it back into place. There were black rubber marks, much like the ones you make with black leather shoes on kitchen lino. Logic tells me that if you can polish those marks off the kitchen floor, you can polish them off the car just as easy, if not easier. The damages include a boot re-alignment, badges, paint job, etc. Completely outrageous.

Last Sunday night while working a 3-hour shift at Coles Supermarkets, I finish work and return to my car to find that somebody had slashed all four tyres and scratched up my driver-side door. It gets towed: $88. The tyre-specialist takes a look at the tyres with the local police, find that the front-right tyre had been stabbed with a screwdriver between 30 and 40 times, and the rest stabbed approximately 15 times each. The door was also scratched with the screwdriver. Police believe it was done by the same people who had followed me home for half-an-hour the night before.

Now I work 9 hours a week, restricted to this amount and I can't gain anymore hours according to my manager. I get around $100 a week. I have a month to pay the insurance company (AAMI, well-known as a ruthless insurance company here), and I previously had $10 in the bank. I also have my pay-by-the-month insurance of $35 to pay, and a new set of tyres for my car because I need that car pretty badly.

Thank you society.

Not cool, Jimmy. Any chance of getting a second job? Or get a new job and dump the supermarket. Four hundred a month just won't cut it. Even when I was still home with my parents. I dont not envy, but can sympathize with, your situation.

:(, Be strong mate, and things will get better. Sit down and make some plans and figure out what to do. Maybe you will have to search for a better job or find some other financial support.

I also sympathize your situation, but remeber there is always someone worse off then you.

wtf... that sucks ass... I'm sorry to hear about the situation your in. :(

Small_Fryz
remeber there is always someone worse off then you.

That doesn't make me feel better it just make me feel guilty. :grumpy:

Searching for second job now. I got an offer at Electronics Boutique a while ago, but I had to be out of school. Even though I'm still in school, I'm looking to see if they still want me to work late-night shopping nights and weekends.

Wow, that's a real kick in the pants. You should confront the lady about the car accident. If it is the way you describe it to be, she's performing insurance fraud. Last time I checked, that's illegal.

Man, life is heaping it on you lately. You've got my sincere sympathy. How long until you're out of school and can get your feet under you?

Really sorry to hear that, Matt.

Whatever you do, try not leaving school behind.

The best of luck to you. 👍

Wow, Matt, I'm sorry to hear this. Whats with the tire slashing linked the person following you? Whats behind that story? I hope you take it easy man, it'll all get better eventually.

Whatever you do, stay strong, and don't let things get to you. There's always a good side to the bad, and I'm sure you'll work it out, Matt. 👍

Sorry to hear that Jimmy, but things will pick up, trust me. Untill then, just try and get through these times, and try to see the good things in life, like gtp for example. Not everything is horrific i'm sure, there's likely to be some good around :)

I'm sorry for what you're going through Jimmy. Things should get better. Keep positive and you should get through the experience better.

Wow, really tough ***t there. :( I know you'll pull through – just keep chugging along. 👍

That really sucks Jimmy. You've definitley got it pretty hard right now. But, there will always be good times and bad times in life. Enjoy the good times while they last, and just roll with the bad times and get through it as quickly and as smoothly as you possibly can. And as Fryz said, it could always be worse (This simple logic has and is helping getting me through some tough times). Be thankful for what you have.

Real sorry to hear Matt, your driving life has had a rocky start, someone hold a weird grudge against you? Stab the tyre 40 times! Whats with that? They sound like sickos, if you were closer to me I would help you find out who these assholes are.

Good luck :).

Man that sucks Matt. Call your insurance company and tell them that you want to know exactly what you're being charged to repair. If its anything more than the damage you caused (which doesn't seem like it should cost more than $300) tell them you think there is insurance fraud going on and you want to go to court.

Have you pissed anyone off lately? If so, mention that to the police and let them see what they can dig up about your tires.

You know what I think, I just hope you get things sorted before anything else happens.

Blake

Wow, that really sucks. I hope things work out for you... :( Sometimes it's good to vent some steam. Make sure you follow up on that insurance fraud stuff.

I wonder how many "accidents" this woman had.

Best of luck, Top Jimmy! Remember, no matter how bad life sucks, it's better than being dead. Hang in there. dude.

God our world is just disgusting and ridiculous. Sorry to hear it Jimmy, please hang in there.

Sucks to hear all this Matt. I'll go visit you next time I'm in your state... And ruin your life even more
