Right so this is the thread for the deluded fans who try to hide the fact that GT5 has flaws and who will defend PD all day long for releasing an unfinished game and for providing us with substandard game play and updates? Right thats good to know, guess I wont be finding balanced discussion here then!

We all know that PD got lazy, didn't think about what they were doing, spent an extra year or so making the game because they hadn't bothered in the time they had previously and well, the rest is a rubbish product really.

I'll just quote a comment that someone made in my thread (the one a few places down that this thread followed, if you go there though you will find balanced discussions) But like a guy said, it is like we've spent however much to do Beta testing for PD so they can perfect GT5 whilst still making money out of us!

But hey, don't worry about it PD, like others have said I am sure that Sony rushed you to get the work done and the game released, I mean, clearly the years you had to make the game just weren't enough ... We all completely understand ... Hey look, someones took my GT5 disc out of my PS3 and inserted GT5 Prologue? I don't remember so much content? Well it all looks the same so I must remember wrong ...

You clearly have no reading comprehension. I did criticize the game intensely before, and I did it because I love the franchise and felt let down.

Now, things are changing for good, and I'm excited about it, so I thought it would be nice to say thank you. You know, I pay to get my lawn mowed and that doesn't deprive me of saying "thanks" to the gardener I hired, even if his work was not amazing.

I suppose you are that kind of guy that is perfect, that never flawed anything in his life, and that is completely incapable of acknowledging the effort of someone trying to correct things, let alone, make up for something you did wrong.

Of course, I'm deluded, but I play the game I love and enjoy it, on the other side you are as wise and focused as an oracle giving us the secret answers of life.

LOL

Well said.

I, too thought this game was going to become another "has-been" (not just the game, but the whole franchise) by the way things were looking, and people's thoughts/grievances.

After this patch, I can honestly say that I feel Mr. Kaz is not in it for the money. I feel as though he actually cares what we think, and he WANTS us to like this game, and not just out for my wallet.

Never has a patch made me feel this way.

With all the whining going on about an "unfinished" game, obviously many folks here have not thought about the marketing angle. I think PD knew exactly what they were releasing and what parts were missing, and are planning to feed us updates for the next few years. I've already put in more game time in GT5, than any other title
I've ever played. The whiners have got too used to modern games that barely give 12 hours of play. So call me a fanboy, after 35 years of gaming[ I started with an Atari 2600], I say BRAVO PD!

This is the age of the dynamic online game. I love that the game evolves through time. From time to time I and others criticize certain components, but that's because we understand that it is now possible to change and improve upon things. Personally I have never doubted that there would be many improvements made over time. Thanks PD and keep up the good work.

I'm not in a mood of making a speech or anything long, but thank you PD for your efforts, work, & integrity of the Gran Turismo series & their improvements throughout each game's era, from GT1 pushing all the way to GT5 -- even though the earlier titles except GT5 Prologue didn't had internet accessibility, It was still an accomplishment! I hope PD will keep this fluent into the future, while the past is still within their memories, to remember their proud achievements within that past!

As said, the deluded fans who will defend GT5 and PD to the hilt ... Sad sad way of life unfortunately.

It's sad that you don't acknowledge their updates that are fixing the issues that you and "your kind" keep crying about. Huge fan here, disappointed that the game wasn't absolutely perfect... OF COURSE! Thrilled that they are fixing issues and adding content... OF COURSE ! No doubt Sony "spurred" them to release the game pre-Christmas, and there were obviously bugs in things so they removed most of the "issues" until they could get them dialed(each update). It may be "slower" than some would like, but wah wah wah. Would you rather they drop the game with all these features filled with bugs and then they don't work, then the remove them until they are fixed....? 3 or 4 times they've had to do that already, happier if it was 10-15? Seems dumb, it would appear they are well on their way to fulfilling the game as promised; just not immediately.

I agree. I loved the game but to me the New update pushed gt5 to a new level and most likely extended my gameplay by a few days, and I'm not even close to bored of it yet.

As I said in another post.

This update is great.......... but this is what the game should have been at launch not 3 months after.

And if they would have been "in" the game when it launched, the game would have had even more crashing/glitching which would have people "rhyming" with the latter... They were pushed to release it, so they chose to try to improve the initial game experience by removing things that were not ready. Get over it, it happened. And now it's improving.

Can I hear a wah wah wah, oh nevermind just read the forums it's filled with whiners.... Babysitters recommended.. :)
