VTGT07What exactly are the benefits of washing your car other than that little shine it gives after its done and never again? I've never washed my cars and I don't really plan on it. That money IMO can be put to better use.

lolsumbodycoolTheres a clear coat on top of the paint job of your car. So when you wash it, it is so you can prepare your car to be waxed. Waxing the car replaces the clear coating for your car so it keeps its shine/paint from coming off
i know it's like that in the Mustang anyway, so i assume it's like that in all cars

I was talking about in the game, not in real life. I know what the benefits of a CC are in real life.sumbodycoolTheres a clear coat on top of the paint job of your car. That would be awesome. I never really watched the replays for more than a lap or so, so I never really payed attention to the reflections on the car during them,Jedi2016But if they actually have real dirt textures in GT4 ...

then i feel dumb. I heard (don't remember from where) that the car wash would better your aerodynamics, but i doubt that.. so i guess its just to make your car look shinier, since they start to look dull after a number of races.
I did an experiment on this. Washing the car didn't have any significant effect on 400m or top speed. There are those out there who say a clean car is faster, but if there is any difference, it's probably unmeasurable.
martialstaxMaybe it wasn't as finished as they thought.
