Found this little message while wiping out in the Audi Nuvolari.
It Reads:

"Hiroyoshi Katoh
the Nissan Topgun!!!
Biggest Respect & Thanks
for your 15 Years on the Ring!"

Anyone else seen this or other messages?

I'm trying to tell what section of the track you are at. I will check the chinese version to see if it is there also. If not sure how to describe, use the map from here.

You are aware that the Nurburgring actually has writing on the track in real life, right? It's not really a secret in the game, if that's what you were getting at.

If you were simply observing, then yeah I found a bunch of those too. Mostly people's names and logos for cars (The VW symbol being the most obvious one.)

its all done by people with chalk, any one see the speed merchents? i got the dvd signed by vic elford :dunce: but the part with on the nurb....it was raining so i couldnt see any riting :grumpy: lol

He test drove the prototype R32 GT-R (dressed in S13 skin) on Nurburgring back in 1988, and he was involved in the develpment of R32, R33, R34 and Z33.

Yes i realise Nurburgring has writing all over it. WHat i was getting at is this looks like a message from one of the developers. Something slightly more personal and interesting than Opel Power!! and Falken Power and VW logos.

Yup I've seen that message before in the Japanese photomode BBS. There were a few more posted if I remember correctly...

After reading that amar, I can think of dozens of other jokes they could put in (but I'll only put the best two in):

"Kaz owes me five thousand bucks"

"What are you looking at this instead of the track for?!"

Cool, I haven't seen it in the Japanese demo. Will check it again but I doubt it's there.

I remember reading somewhere a few months ago that PD had added quite a few easter egg messages on the road.

I saved a replay using the Ford Model T at the 'Ring (seriously!!!!). I'll check it out as it will be the simplest way to read the track (no driving to worry about though of course I can only use it to find the positions of the messages as the pause will end the replay.

Well the writings are there allways, and since PD wanted to do exact replica of the Ring it is just right that they include the writings.

I stopped the car to get out and read the road, then I realized I wasn't playing GTA.

That's funny cause while I was driving on the Ring and saw what I thought was a deer, ended up being some fool reading the text in the road and attempted to jack me for my Viper  :)

What about this:

"What do micheal jackson and caviar have in common?"

And 100 yards ahead on the track this:

"they both come on little crackers"

The "Nissan Topgun" text is in the demo as well, just before the long straight near the end. Hadn't seen it before! :D

i saw an Audi symbol chalked in and a wierd message I couldn't read too well. "Hi Esther (somebody german) from (somewhere in germany)" Also saw a smilie face somewhere in the loooong stretch before the end of the track. wasn't very big, but it was there.

Also, not long after the starting line, there looks to be a dog chalked in with multicolor chalk.
