You know what's funny about this weeks track is that even if we were allowed to talk about sector times we wouldn't be able to.:)
 
Eh?!? Oh right, Fuji GT apparently has no sector beams, I've never noticed but I remember this coming up somewhere else recently. Damn that sucks, splits are the best way of improving overall laptime :irked:

Hey viper, are you gonna update the team and driver standings thread with round 2's results?
 
@viper: Shouldnt my teammate's (veilsidebr) weight penalty be taken off by 2% since he finished out of the top 4?

I thought thats how it worked,anyway.

Nope, a DNF or DNS will not make you loose any penalty weight. You need to complete the race and submit a valid time to be classified.
 
Raced on Fuji 2005 GT today for the first time ever in my life and I must say I sucked really bad for the let's say 20 first laps. :lol: Then things started to link eachothers and my laptimes were improving more and more. I pushed pretty hard but I'm not sure how it will rank up in the GT300 qualification field.

Now that I have done a few laps on the RIGHT track (Now I know why you were confussled Nat) ~ Time submitted. Know I am not the top, but hope to do ok. 👍 to all. See ya at the starting grid.

Yea, only been on this track a few times, the only thing i don't like about the fuji's is that they are all diff., you can't really drive one track like the other. The only turn that gives me prob's is turn 2, durn fast blind left turn, hard to see the turning point to get a good fast run through it.

This is going to be a "FUN" race this week, actually looking forward to it :dopey: even with the new "LEAD FILLED SHOES" i have to wear now because of having all those winning penalties. :yuck: Gives a new meaning to LEADFOOT :crazy:

Team Shxxxt! hits the Fan!

Way down the poor end of the pits there is drama, Shxxxt!,s GT500 entry has blown the engine in pre qual here at Fuji , and with their budget gone cant afford to replace it.

When questioned about the drama the teams GT300 entrant Steve (Stoddard) 57 had this to say, "yes things are pretty tough down here in the poor end of pit lane, but alls not lost , the crew are busy removing the blown PS2 engine, and are cutting out the floor panels so at least the car can be driven Freddy Flintstone style, what the officials will say, we will have to what and see. I managed to get a few laps in before we ran out of fuel, so at least I have some type of time to submitt. Hey, you couldnt buy me a coffee and lend me a ciggie could ya"

So we wait and see what the outcome will be for this Team, will they make it thru the series? watch this space. ( Film at 11.00 )

I have to so that i am not a fan of the 2005 GT version of Fuji Speedway and i didn't have that much time to quailfy so i won't be expecting a good result.

As far as I go it looks as if I mahy need an extra hour atleast to run in order to compete this week.

If not I will take a dns. But please dont take the cars away from kenny and myself

Alright guys please let me know, should we stop all of this and close down the series? Aside from Soyfu and kennythebomb with valid reasons what the fawk is going on with the others? I have 5 freaking times in the GT500 class, does that sound like something acceptable to you?

So what's the decision now?

The warning was really clear right from the start that nobody was going to loose my time...and yet we end up in a situation like this.
 
Nah man, keep going. We - the drivers - can always PM people to see what's going on, but the WRS has it's ups and downs too, don't just throw it in because every once in a while some teams have cars that won't start :p

My hOt604bOi better not be amongst them :mad:
