JGTC S1 Round 4 Race + Results

I have trouble with the left kink just before the final hairpin. I usually start my turn to early because I'm afraid of the outside wall and I tap the inside. :dunce:

Yes, very tricky part. Was taking the first right between 182-185 in my qualif session, ironically on my best lap I missed that turn and only clocked it at 178-179. :yuck:
 
I raced twice for 20 laps to test out some tire strategies and noticed something really odd. The Mugen pulled out from the pack on the 1st lap (I was in 1st place), and it SHOT past me on the main straight like I wasn't even there. We battled for a while, but he pulled out an impossible gap, so I concentrated on staying ahead of everyone else.

On lap 12, or there abouts, he was 1'30 ahead of us all and threatening to start lapping ... his speed was, literally, MILES ahead of everyone else.

Oddly, though, on lap 15 and onwards I started to gain 10 seconds a lap ... TEN SECONDS ... he didn't seem to be hitting anything, but he was crawling ... I couldn't figure it out at all.

When I tested my other tires, the Mugen took something like 8 laps to pull out of the pack, and never exhibited the same sort of speed as that previous run.

What happens if I by chance am +1 Lap down and it quits as I start Lap 34 ? CRY ~ will try later though.

I must say I'm with viper on this one. I am usually 1-2 seconds ahead by the end of the first lap. Then I can build on that pace as the race goes on.
 
Oh god I have a problem, im away for the whole weekend starting from this evening so I have about 2 hours to do the race and submit my time. Problem is, I get about a 5 second lead after 5 laps and then the 🤬 viper comes up behind me on the left before the back straight and starts nudging he rear left quarter of my car until i spin out, smack the wall, and get a ten second penalty. I cant do this race clean in the amount of time I have left.
I know this is a lot to ask for, EATSVIPERS4LUNCH, but could I start from race 5? I really cant do this week's race, I may have 2 hours unti lI leave but I need to get everything packed before I go.

I'm sooo sorry, to my teammate as well.
PLEEEAAAASSSEEE can you help me??!?!?
 
Teledriel ... personally, if you get a +1 lap, I'd turn in the time you had thus far with the "+1 Lap" ... you will come at the bottom of the pack, but then you may not be the only one :p

If I get the same behavior from the Mugen that I got before, he'll be lapping people half way through :p
 
Heh - i thought i was going to be lapped by that same car but he pitted w/ about 3 laps from the end. :scared: Can see some time to be made but it doesn't look to good :nervous: .

Normally you take the time the race ends for you in note (approximative) and you say +1 lap. If I only receive +1 lap and no time it's not worth a thing.

I am down 99 hp, hell 0,046 under :nervous: , you are 90hp or like that :)

my car will become like a GT300 one if i get 10%+ penalty in a race. :indiff:

You lost his Time. You lost your car. Simply as that with viper. Viper wears a stop watch around his neck to measure lost time. Takes his daily totals of lost time and plots them on a graph. Youve added to his lost time. so you must go! :sly:

very fun, today i was in 5th + 2nd for a good 6-7 laps
was cool seeing the gap close lap by lap

surprisingly the AI is really fast this track
 
You know, if PD pull their finger out and put 24 cars on the track at anyone time and improve the AI and/or add online play, I'll just wet myself; that would just be so awesome.
 
Jesus, this race is a killer. The Mugen - AGAIN - dominated the field, which left the rest of us fighting over the last 5 places. No A-spec points for me :(

I was actually LAPPED on lap 27, and it's only because the Mugen then pitted that I managed to get back onto the same lap again. I fought for 2nd and 3rd place, but some FREAKING sloppy driving left me crossing the line at FOURTH. Jesus, what a freaking terrible run.

I'm going to try a radically different tire strategy to see if I can save a lot of time off this, but I don't expect to ever beat the Mugen.
