JGTC S1 Round 5 Race + Results

Ok, pretty sure I won't be last now. Just completed another run eliminating the spins.

Pretty happy with my time, I don't think I can go too much faster.

Now I just hope iceman submits, I haven't heard from him. :scared:

Well I have submitted, I personally will be suprised if I dont finish last on this one. Growing tired of getting smoked with a conservative tire strategy I decided to go to the other extream and use a stupidly radical tire strategy which im sure will fail. Oh well.

Some in that list are in danger of loosing their spots depending on the mood I'm in.

The fact that the competition is on est. can make you late.
 
Obviously I was trying to get a run in, whats the reason to be so hard about it? If not for the time discrepancy I would have gotten a time in. I know thats partly my fault but I put in the effort to run a race and its a real bummer to waste an hour because of a mix up with time. It's not like I'm not around enitirely for 3+ weeks or come and go as I choose like some others, I'm new and all I ask is a little leniancy for my first round.

The warning was toward the guys not sending at repetition since the beginning, you take your first chance this week and I'm sure you'll never mistake the time zone again in the future. You can stop to freak out now. :)
 
Nothing I can do. I like the guy and his talent speaks for itself, but he lives abusy life nowadays (and there's always the possibility that something bad has happened).

I'll just chug along and finish the season without missing a week, 'cos that's what I do.
 
11th? OUCH. Worst result for me ever!!! Atleast I'll lose that damned weight :p

I did hard's for this entire race. Was that a baaaad choice?

DRIVEN and Zeratul good job on 1st and 2nd...and beating me. :guilty: I'm coming in the next rounds watch your back.


If your time is in bold in the results that's because you got a 10 secs penalty for not doing your qualif, and see 2 of you lost a spot because of that.

Yee hah!! Putting in that extra race today really paid off!!

My previous best was in the low 52s!

Congrats to everyone who submitted, hard luck for iceman who missed out by about 1/2 an hour.

Well done all the podium guys...and the midfielders...and everyone else.

(You may have noticed I'm a bit chuffed :) )

For those who are interested I did a 4 stop race R3 front R2 rear all the way. Finished 4 laps ahead of the Oreca Viper. I had one half spin, no penalties, the race was actually completely clean!!

What sort of strategy did everyone else use?

The only downside is that now I have to have less power/more weight at Grand Valley, where it might hurt more. 👎

nothing i could do about me missing the submitting time...
had a family dinner that i didnt even know about, so there was nothing i could do

im an hour and 40 min late, almost worked but nOpe... sorry Nat

rear hards, medium fronts for 4 stints
rear hards, soft fronts for 1 stint
1 spin on the 23rd lap, but recover'd so perfectly i only lost 2-3 seconds that lap

yet again sorry....
 
I did a 7 stopper, with RS/RM. I took no fuel. 2 laps on the AI car. I would like to know what the other 2 honda team factory boys did.
 
I pitted 5 times(8,16,24,32,41) using RM/RM with the rear tires being bright red on laps 41 and 50.

TLR, did 10 laps on Hards, pitting 10, 20, 30, 40... Almost lapped him, but was about 45-50 secs in front of him.

@veilsidebr What sort of strategy were you running to be able to pull out a 56.6? Was there a deliberate soft tyre stint?
