speedy_samurai bravo dude, you've worked pretty hard for this and it's fully deserved. 4 secs and you had the win this time, sooo close. 👍

thank you sir. I busted my ass on this race. I love this track. Luckily, because I must have ran this race 4 times. Once I managed to get to lap 27 before an accident. Started again and away I went. I drove fast and pitted often.

Jeez, 4 times. I can barely find the time to run it once.

I used RM-RS the entire race but because I'm a dumbfawk and couldn't do 6 laps on those and only did 5 (front tires red like hell) I had to pit 5 times when I should of done 4 like you in reality. Sorry ZeratulSG for not been a challenge this week. :guilty:
Hey don't sweat it. I'm surprised actually that I placed where I did. To be honest I would've preferred 5th so I could drop some weight. 4th is a double-edged sword :irked:

I ran RM/RS throughout, pitting every 6 laps (viper your tire-shredding ways are working to my advantage :sly: ). My first race I tried RH/RM for 8 laps (3 stops), running RM/RS for the final 6 laps, but the other strategy turned out faster.

I have a new nemesis in the Alfa Race Car, that little titch has it in for me, ramming me purposely whenever I try to lap him. Hey, are PIT maneuvers allowed? :D

well, only racing once showed to me that i really have to find some more time to think about those races... before just going up there with no strategy...

plus a had to restart 5, ot 6 times before i knew what to do with those pit entries...

then, took a huge gamble with the tires yellow (twice :banghead: ) and ran a full lap with the rear tires red... had a blistering time of 2´49 on that lap before a pitted... then some stupid spins... some off tracks, and a stupid, lame ass strategy of not pitting much (just 4 times)... :yuck: (couls shave at least 1´30 of my total time easy...)

you now, i was totally confused, because a used RH/RM during most of the race... looks like everybody else had harder tires on the back...

anyway, just a shame of a race, lets move on to the next round and get a good qualify...

btw, at least because of my lame pit strategy, i had to pit on lap 28, then put RS/RSS and manage to get a point for a good lap... :)

Hehe...I think I meant to put 59 instead of 58.

Sorry. :dunce: Go ahead and fix it.

3 Hondas in the top 5, good job guys 👍

Interesting to see how close we all are despite what appear to be wildly different pit strategies. Huge differences in the fastest laps for people.

I'm interested to find out everyone's pit strategy; I ran RM on the front RH on the back, 6 lap stints with a splash of fuel to get me to the finish. Average laptime was around the 1'45 mark, with a few silly spins included.
Total Time : 57'11.266
Best Lap : 1'43.735
Pitting Resume (lap info, tire set used, penalties) :

L01 - R4/R4
L04 - R3/R3
L10 - R3/R3
L16 - R3/R3
L22 - R5/R5
L26 - penalty for hitting wall
L27 - R5/R5

I like to start on softer tires to get away from the pack quick. Running the R4's for 4 laps, put me just far enough ahead that I could pit and still come out in the lead. Then I just ran fast, smooth laps.

At lap 22, I needed to pit. R3's wouldn't last me 8 laps, and I didn't want to run R2's so I jumped to R5's for a 2 pit ending. Unfortunately, I spun into the wall just before my final pit and had to drive through without taking tires.

So now I was running a full lap on seriously crappy R5's. I lost 30 seconds on that lap and came into the pit on four completely red tires.

I lost another 30+ seconds in the pit and then could only use the R5's for 3 laps (28, 29, 30).

Definitely would've been 60 seconds faster if I didn't have the trouble at the end. Good race, though. I had fun.

started on R4/R4 and pitted every 4 laps with the same tires, until lap 24 when I put on R3/R3. Mistake free race, every lap was within .500 or so (aside from the pit laps, of course)

well thank you for admiting that, i was so mad i ran that race 3 times and you were still 33 seconds ahead. :nervous:

I will make the corrections to the GT300 results tonight when I get home, the weight penalties for the R7 entrants list will also change so don't start to qualif too fast if you were in the top 4 (basically you get +1% weight more).

I might do the transition and go for the DFP, possibly as soon as R8 qualif (slim chance for even R7 race). :sly: Start to shake in your pants GT300 drivers.

Hey Studentdriver, thanks for the extra points, and no thanks for the extra weight :grumpy: ;)

@fasj6418: The RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX-7 (damn that's still hard to type) burns front tires much faster than rears. Running say, RH/RM, my rear tires will still have more grip left than the fronts when I pit. This does alter the balance of the car slightly toward understeer, but this car is on rails already and the extra grip under acceleration makes up for it in laptimes.

As viper pointed out, Tsukuba Wet was the exception, by a MASSIVE degree (RM/RH my fronts would still be light yellow when the rears were melting).

Even though his 58 did turn out to be a typo, it was a definite possibility, and I'm sure a 57 was on the cards with several runs. If you take the time spent in the pits because of my 3 pit penalties and subtract it from my 59'06, that's well into the 58's for sure.

Very easy to achieve in your WedsSport, it's another story with his ride. Should have been a walk in the park to clock a 58 in the Celica.

wow, unexpected.

I ran ran R3s all race long with 1'45s being the norm on green tires. I had a few high 1'44s and some 1'46s when I ran into AI traffic when I was lapping them. Passing the AI is easy when you have the 543 hp raybrig. Tracks like GVS and Tokyo are really good for it. Though it does lack grip and often slides around on the medium tires. I think the main advantage the Raybrig has is the weak competition, the second place car was a XJ220 that finished a lap down. Third a Ford GT and fourth a camaro.

Viper, are you questioning my time? :nervous:
I cant prove my time as I dont have a maxdrive. I can only prove quali runs since I can capture that. If I capture a race, that would be probably around a gigabyte, no to that.

Edit:What about team and driver rankings?

oh good so I got 4th instead of 5th right? not bad for my second race. and the 3rd fastest lap too! woot woot!

I ran the race on RH/RH for the first 9, RH/RH for another 9, RM/RM for 6, RM/RM for 6. According to my tire testing and calculations I figured this to be the fastest method. I did a few pit test sessions too and learned that every pit stop you lost about 32 seconds total on the pit in and pit out lap. The total time I came up with for the entire race was about 58'54.***. I just tested how long each tire set would last and got an average lap time for each set too. I would have had that time down but on one lap I got a little sideways and spun about 90 degrees (but stayed on track) and lost about 10 seconds that lap.

with studentdriver moving down look how close the top 4 or 5 drivers were. that would have been a good race in real life.

Considering you're the one who balanced the cars, I find it a little surprising that you admit to this so easily. We all know the Celica is the favorite in GT300 (though I'm sure her drivers would contest :) ). Why didn't you drop the HP a bit more at the start of the season? :)

This is a testing season, I guess we learn from our mistakes. :sly: Next season when we start the real deal all should be corrected.

Yeah, because school is starting again I switched to bi-weekly to give people the time to race. But warning, this season will be alot more stricted since drivers can only miss either one qualif or one race, after that you face the sanctions. There is no way in hell people can't find the time to qualif in one full week, 168h in one week and to qualif fast it's maybe 1h that makes 0.6% of your time! So basically I won't be even interested to hear peoples excuses.  I could be going to school, work 2 jobs at a time, run my own company and be the president of the United States and still have time to race in a bi-weekly setup.

We'll have trophies for the winning team and participation prizes this time around. Also people getting kicked out will receive a nice little prize, a lifetime membership on the blacklist of the JGTC series....normally selling for 2 easy payments of 19.99$ :sly:

A registration thread will be put up during the upcoming weekend. 36 spots open for 18 teams, previous slackers (not talking about the dedicated ones who had to quit) who dropped out this season won't be allowed to join.

good, i´m already waiting to join right from the start and get my skyline this time...
