Last round of the season, it's now do or die time. Who will keep his cool under the intense pressure, and who will brake down in the very end. All of those questions will be answered in less than 2 weeks from now.

Good luck to all. ;)

I think I may be in the second catagory, don't do well under pressure.
Thanks for the weight EV4L, thought it might be more....whew!

Ok...I'm the same weight as VT, and I need to catch 11 points. This could be tricky...

Sweet I lost 1% weight, still the heaviest car on track though. Well for me the qualy round will be a bit disjointed as I'm flying home tomorrow, but I'll be in the comfort of my own couch for race week

Yes Suzuka, my favorite track
always loved it and always will be:tup:

well, i don't care if i have weight or not, its suzuka baby:tup:

so, even with little chance i say

WAR JGTC!!!

all i want is a full field to held VTR under 7th place... as for casio, you really have a shot man, but i think you will have to win you first race to get the championship

I need to catch 11 points, it's going to be almost impossible.

Even if I qualified 1st and VT didn't get anything (Which isn't going to happen, as VT and I are the same weight, and VT's qualifing record is amazing). I'd still be 8 points behind. So then I'd need to win the race and VT to come less then 6th without picking up a fastest lap.

More realistically, VT poles, and I manage to come second. I need to win, and VT needs to come 8th. Or pretty much dead last.

I only see one way of winning this thing. Since VT lives only a quick plane ride away from me, I'm going to have to break into his house, and steal his PS2 and copy of GT4...

You know I have a spare, don't you? Bring it on!!

*calmly swinging baseball bat*

:lol:good one VT
but i did some laps the other day and the car was awsome:cool:
sometimes a little bit snap ovesteer, butthats ok

oh my god, this one is going to be hard... i can´t get withim 2 seconds of last season´s time, this is not looking good... in other hand, most cars have weight penalty, so the times might be a little up comparing to last season...

Well, this is a very good thing. Now you won't be stealing any points from me!!!:mad:

My god, everything I have ever said about this track was a lie! I now love this place. The Celica is so happy in the twisty bits, and doesn't lack as much as I thought it would on the straights. Also, the more laps I run, the quicker I get, and the more consistant I become(this is very notable, because when I first left the pits I couldn't stay on the track ). I think the race here will be awesome, and I can't wait.

Also, just so you know, I had a long week-end this week, so I had a bit of extra time to play with some other cars, and wow, are they ever differant from my Celica! If I get in the GT300 class next year, I'm going to have one hell of a time picking a car I want to drive.

I don't steal them, I earn them, or you give them away:)

I also have started to enjoy this track, I can feel my extra weight though, probably a second a lap slower here at Suzuka. No worries I'm still going for Gold!!!

I'm struggling to get close to last seasons time too. This is a bloody hard track, so many places to pick up a .1 here and there. I think I'm losing loads of time on the Spoon Curve, I've just got no idea about the line there.

I can't get near last season's times either, so I don't think I'll be getting my customary qualifying points this round.

Just for interest, I had a run with Casio's RX-7. I couldn't remember his weight for this round so I set it at 1155, the same as me. Even so, I still set a time 2 tenths faster with the RX-7 than with my car. The RX-7 is harder to drive, but it turns in better which is very useful here at Suzuka.

I'm ever-so-slightly worried.

I was just about to post that. The car probably does have the advantage this week on the direction changes. I'm thinking especially those Esses at the start of the lap. I bet your RX-8 can't do 720s braking into the first corner either

Submitted time, left a few tenths out there for you guys to find, cause I can't.There's always next season. Good Luck Ya'll

Only when I end up in the gravel trap. :dopey:

EDIT: Wow, this car is amazing in qualifying. Just when I thought there was only a few tenths left to find, I go out and find a lap more than 6 tenths faster than my previous best. I had to double check that I was carrying the correct weight because I was truly shocked.

Time submitted.

Well, time sent.....this round I'm going for a pole, if you allow me. Just came from a challenge in Suzuka in French GTC, with the Woodone, and Suzuka was still on my mind.

I hope this one really will be something to see.

oh no, don´t break my heart...:nervous: i had a near perfect lap with my car, considering weght and stuff... i was really hoping to have an outside chance of getting the pole... well, results taking some time, so i´m:nervous:

i will be oficially dead if VTR scores some, or if i don´t get the pole:crazy:

Better watch out VT...1 point down...only 10 more to go :sly:

I know.... :nervous:

You don't need to break my legs. Really, you don't.

And why has Francisco been whingeing the whole season? Plus 7% weight and he's 6 tenths faster than me in qualifying... ;) And I'M the one with the advantage!

Just kidding guys, good run. Congrats to jctraduz and Soyfu for the poles. 👍

I needed those points, but I didn't want to be on the pole with either of these two goofballs. Grats Soyfu and jctraduz. I haven't done the math, but I think catching Andge is going to be near impossible. :nervous:

Good luck guys. :)👍

hey congrats jctraduz and soyfu...

i knew my lap was good, i watch the replay and i saw i didn´t had anything left... so i´m happy with the 2nd place...

i´m still alive:dopey:

and i´m very confident for the race, i really like suzuka...

i hope the RX-8 absolutely eats tires in this race... but, still, good luck:)

jctraduz, easy man, don´t need to go that fast:crazy:

you see, the desperate talk already started in this forum. now i have to put 27 qualifyin laps in a row and still hope to be very lucky...

it will be a fun race:)

Soyfu
OMG! That's what I'm talkin' about!!!!

EDIT:
Oh, and... HAHA, moochers: DENIED!!!! ;)

LOL. I knew I was going fast, but not that fast. After all the GTC training in the track payed out. Let's see how the race goes.

But I'm happy. 2 poles in the season among all these good drivers. WOW

The "moochers" label is getting a bit old soyfu, If you have a problem with drivers that aren't on a team speak with EV4L, they're his rules.

EV4L is trying to attract new drivers to this series, that can't be accomplished by name calling drivers that do not belong to a team for whatever reason. It was funny the first time, but it's wearing thin and only promotes a climate of "us" and "them". Lets work together for the JGTC series, it's the best run series here at GTP with some of the most respected drivers participating. We need to show all potential drivers (and anyone else)that we work as a team of mature drivers respecting one and other and the series. That's my 2 cents worth.

I just wanted to congratulate Sofu on his winning the pole position at this difficult race track, but apparently I'm a little late.

He seems to be doing a great job of congratulating himself, and doing it rather loudly.

Anyway, I actually take the term "moocher" as quite a compliment. My encyclopedia of all things racing indicates it's an ancient Japanese euphemism for ----- "faster".

Emphasis on the second syllable.

Ah, so true.
