Question:

How can the person leading the GT500 championship have LESS weight then all the other main contenders?! I think we should enforce a new rule to make the leader carry +10 (Unless It's me).

i have no idea who will be good at this track...

but that big straight will hurt me... again...

i´m not so confident for this second part of the schedule... :scared:
 
Hmmm.......

4% increase in weight to power ratio. Not good for acceleration on the long straights or anywhere else. Will it be possible to stay in the FTO's draft until the first stop? Could be tough.

I don't think any magic tire combinations or fancy pit strategy is going to help much at Fuji.
 
I've looked into my crystal ball and seen the future, so my predictions on qualifying in the GT300 class are as follows:

Fast time: Lewie
2nd: Drew22
3rd: Teledriel
4th: Soyfu
5th: RedCloud
6th: Nuvolari
7th: ejr_1
8th: AlarmdBread
9th: Andge08

What's the bet?

(Update: If Teledriel enters qualifying with the rocketship RX7, everyone will move down one spot)

I also hope it has a big smudge, but I think the weight to power ratio numbers are fatal.

The driver who should have the most sympathy is Andge08, since he is running at 4.04kg per hp, which is a very big number.

But I do support EV4L and his obviously well designed system. Everybody has a chance to finish in the money at one of the events.

Who was it that said, "...chicken one day, feathers the next..."?
 
Damn all those beers I drank over the weekend, I've gone and put on a couple of pounds ;)

Yeah I think we have another HSR here. Oh well, I'll just try to hold onto the points gap and see what can be done in the next round.
 
Yeah great for you, Mr. Uber RX-8 :D I reckon you'll nail this one pretty easily. Just making it harder for the rest of us to catch you in the points standing. We'll get you eventually ;)

I'm quite fond of Fuji GT, but this track is quite "plain"
 
yes, i ran this last night.

i´m hopeless and i don´t know what to do... its even faster than HSR...

and i was last in the qualify for HSR... 👎

so, more bad things to come for me...

Yes you can.

Unless you have a replay to send to him (before you ask, that requires a max drive or ar max or some other way of transferring replays to the pc), just send him a pm with all the information laid out in the "Time Sending Format" of the first post.

I hope that makes sense.
 
I should have taken the Laguna opportunity. This track is not for my car.

I think I've taken out of my car all it had to give to me...

This track is for power cars. The Supra will have to squeeze the engine to keep the pace. And it will be boring in the race, yes it will... Maybe the AI will make it more fun....

but mr. viper asked me to go into 300 to even out the field...then a few more 300 drivers showed up :grumpy:

but my mrs is a good little car 👍

I know, I know. I'm not sure how that little bird got in here. Somebody overlooked something. Maybe my tactics and analysis guy is slipping.

Anyway, I'm envious of your possession of that car. I did some testing in it and was a bit shocked at how fast and easy to drive it was. It really is a rocketship. I was clicking off laps two full seconds faster than I could with my car at Fuji.

I think a big disadvantage of my car is the frontal area, so I'm counting on catching as much draft as possible in the race. There are just too many places where the fast guys will be pulling me, and only one or two places where I can pull back some time.

So maybe I'll just wave at the crowd, or something...

appie17, welcome to an awesome OLR series! Now just don't go beating everyone ya hear? ;)

I need to hire someone to pinch me every 10 minutes at this track to keep me awake...I can respect the technical aspects, I mean, the corners are well designed in that your angle of attack and exit speeds are critical here, but damn!

Turn 1 is so exciting, I get to actually brake and turn the wheel :D
