Don't forget we have until next sunday the 25th to submit and that some will probably leave earlier this week for the holidays, so be smart and race early during the week. :sly:

:p HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL :p

happy holidays all

maybe santa could bring me a few extra hp this year

You want horsepower you've got 40 more than the Celica. I think you want santa to take away some of your weight.

and are you going to send it to Brazil?

with no shipping of course :dopey: :dopey:

in that case, i would love to get a skyline for christmas... if santa claus really exists, i think its reasonable to ask for a R34 GT-R M-spec... that will cost only 100,000 to 150,000 $ i think... :dopey:

👍

Well if you're part of the overall winning team I don't have a choice but to ship to your place even if you live at the other end of the world! The two drivers in that team are each getting a trophy and some other racers will get participation prizes, for sure I'd prefer to send here in Canada or in the USA but if I have to go further there's no real problem with me. :sly:

maybe you work on fedex or something... 💡

very cool idea 👍

as for the race, i´m moving (again) so i will only race friday... :scared:

This isn't going to be a good week for me.

I just don't have enough speed, unaided, I can only get to 184mph. Where as I was hit by that stupid Panoz and got pushed forward at 198, and the McLaren is even faster!

I also don't have good enough tyre wear rates to 1 stop, argh....Get this weight off me!

Also, has anybody noticed that your fuel seems to run out quicker this race? Must be the higher speed.

what does he mean with

Pitting Resume (lap info, tire set used, penalties)

Well, what I've been doing is.

L12 RH/RH, L24 RH/RH (F), L36 RS/RS...etc.

I use the (f) to indicate when I fueled.
Write what tyres you changed into on that stop

Penalties means how many times you got a forced pit entry, or speed limiter from hitting the AI or wall. I assume it's used to sift out any cheats, because if someone submitted a super quick time, but had a few forced pits, it would be kind of suspicious.

I think it's easier to read if you format it like this:

L01 RH/RH
L12 RH/RH
L24 RH/RH
L34 penalty for rear ending Castrol NSX
L36 RS/RS

I don't mention the fueling because I always just fuel up on every pit. I'm not totally convinced the fuel level has any effect on performance.

Got my first "clean" race yesterday. Two minor slips out of track....

2 pit stops. It went well. No penalties. Lost about 10 secs overall, with the exits, one of them a "controled" spin...

With Christmas at door, don't if I'll time for another try but....I'll try

I've had two runs at this race so far; I can't do less than 3 pitstops.

Oh well, the old RX-8 bugbear is back in action, let's see if my laptimes can make up for the extra stop (or two).

Time submitted shortly after this post.

I've run it with 2 and 3 pits (with different tires) and found 3 pits is faster then two pits...for me anyway.

Well, I went for another run.

Got my new gloves, old boots and same suit.

I decided I would be able to do it right 43 times. In the end I did it almost well 41 times... :) . And guess what... I won.... 0.7 seconds!!!

Same tyres, same strategy. A waste of time...

I'll give it a try with a 3 pit stop strategy to see if I get more than 0.7 seconds...

if nothing better happens, I'll submit my first, since it has a better fastest lap... :indiff:

I've done one race, 2 two stops, and won over the McLaren by about 50 seconds.
However, the Mclaren did pit on lap 42, so if not for that, It would of probably been about 20-25.

I think I'll have another go at this race, I got into a grove about half way through and got pretty much all my lap times within a second, except for a few fast ones where I got the draft. Anyway, by the end of the race, I was able to pull away from the McLaren unaided, but at the beginning I was struggling just to keep up.

Maybe another 10 - 15 seconds? If so, I'll be happy.

One more thing, that pit entry is just hell, I think I'll do a few speed runs into it in time trial mode, to see if I can get a second or two there.

Nope. No way...

A 3 pit stops strategy would force me to get an extra second each lap on RM.
I can get that extra second, but, with a 11/11/11/10 laps race, on each lap 10 the tyres are orange and I loose 2-3 seconds and the 11th lap is on red, and I loose about 3-4 seconds to keep the car on track. That and the extra 35-40 seconds of the 3rd pit stop make it impossible to get extra time with my car.

So, I'm submitting my time, with my first try race.

Good luck all and Merry Christmas!!!

well went for a 3 stop strategy and it worked very well
except for the 2 penaltys :grumpy: :banghead:

Mastering the final turn, as well as messing with top speed settings chopped over a minute from my first attempt. I should've started racing earlier in this series... it gives me an excuse to do long races! Time submitted in a minute...

This is crazy. I can't run more than eight laps without making a mistake. My car tightens up when the tires turn green, and the NSX's make life impossible, forcing contact. :grumpy:

Tonight, when I'm wikit tired, is when this is going to get done. Then my mind will be numb and I'll be able to focus on racing, and not think about anything else!

Now I'm worried. I think it's going to be close between us Casio. :nervous:

🤬:(🤬:(🤬:(

I quit!!!

Not really, but I do feel like it.

I got to lap 27. I was doing much better than I thought I would be doing. Drafting off of the Castrol Mugen NSX, for nearly 25 laps, I tryed to outbreak him into turn 3. I ran into the back of him. I get a penality. I cry. :(

I plan on running a 2 stop strategy pitting on laps 16 and 32, since that is when my good friend in the NSX pits.

🤬:(🤬:(🤬:(

I know, it's very exicting, I need to claw those 4 points back! But then I get more weight! Arghh...I can't win!

Time submitted.

Didn't get a chance to race again, well not true, I just can't bebothered really.

But I'm still pretty happy with my time. I'm not sure, but I think this has been the fastest race (time wise) this year?
