JGTC S2 Teams & Car Draft Thread

I think its ZeratulSG's turn. nasanu picked the Prototype NSX-R.
Aren't we chosing numbers this time? Thought it would be like the season before...

edit: If its OK, I'll take the Honda Mobil 1 NSX. I know I'm the last to pick anyway, but just wanted to say that :scared:

WOW! I was hoping to login this afternoon and see that everyone had already picked their cars.... Hopefully the draft will be finished by tomorrow, right? RIGHT!?! :p

The C-West Razo Silvia was in the last JGTC season, and it was abandoned because of it's inordinately high tyre wear. That made it uncompetitive.

Leaving home at 7:00AM and coming back at 9:15PM god that's gay  well little less gay once it's time to cash the check :sly:

Ok, I'll read what I missed during the day and pick for the people stalling us.

Thanx Eats ~ Sorry ~ with the Inspector General in town past 2 days in Japan, havn't been on boards for a bit. Pleased though with the choice. Was going for something other than the S2k this time anyways.

Hey all,

I know I'm up to pick in GT500, sorry for the delay. Being bumped into GT500 at the last minute, and my car of choice was taken (the RX-8 Concept LM Race Car, damn you ;) ), I have to see which of these cars I have access to, plus I'm leaving the country next week on business for several months and I'm incredibly busy, and I'm in a different time zone to you all. So, once again, sorry for the delay, I expect to make my selection ASAP, but given the sudden changes please bear with me.

Thanks everyone!

If there will be some talk about numbers i would like to have #23 just like last seson...

and here I was thinking that the GT500 Class would be done picking their cars before the GT300 Class. :p

Way to go GT300!!!

Has anyone tested their car out yet? I ran a 30 lap race with my RX-7 last night to test tire wear, etc...

Teams & Car number will be done tomorrow. The final schedule should be done also.

well, please include autumn ring in the schedule, that track is a blast!

also, remember that the class is GT500, so to even the cars, add HP 👍 👍 👍
otherwise it will be the "GT450" class...

anyway, more HP is always welcome 👍

just my two cents, but i hope you think about that... i think the cars can be very even withim the range of 480-540 HP...

can´t wait to start :dopey:

I did a 20 lapper of Hong Kong and a 10 lapper of Apricot Hill. Just to get my grove.

However, before we picked I did have a drive of the Impreza Super Touring Car. That thing is the worst car I have ever driven. It has understeer unlike anything you have ever driven, and with 4WD I'm sure the tyre wear would be pretty awful.

Did a couple of 10 lappers at Motegi road course....and could not win!! I had the RX-8 at -1% power, figuring that that should roughly equate to the NSX I had last time.

The opponent line-up for my RX-8 at +10 AI is very challenging indeed, much more challenging than for an actual JGTC GT500 car. For the NSX, the only opponent car worth worrying about is the Oreca Viper. For the RX-8 you get the McLaren F1, Pagani Zonda, Ford GT, 350Z LM concept and....the GT-R LM concept, which is a killer.

I know Motegi is a track the AI can do very well at, particularly if they have a horsepower advantage, but it was quite depressing.

I'm a little bit concerned about tyre wear with this car, it seems to chew the fronts out reasonably quickly. And it was slower than the NSX I ran last season by 1-2 seconds per lap. Then I had a quick run around Tsukuba Wet (a track I enjoyed in the NSX) and it was woeful. Rotary power band = light switch, not very handy in the wet.
