JGTC S3 Application Thread (GT500 spots open only)

Yeah!

Got a PM off Francisco when I logged on, popped over and saw a few names I recognised and a few guys like You, Francisco, Chris that I know well, already signed up. So thought I would give it a go.

You know, I need something to race when the WRS doesn't float my boat, like this week.

And I love the JGTC cars, Fast, grippy, fun!

Thanks to you, my dreams of getting a GT500 ride have just been launched out the window! I'm very angry now. :grumpy:

At least GT300 is really fun. Actually, I really don't care where I end up. Anywhere in this series is fun, and whatever class I'm in, it's going to be a good fight.

I'm also glad that I get to race some of the fastest guys in the world. I never imagined I would be racing Div1 drivers when I signed up 5 months ago. I look foreward to bringing the fight to them, or at least trying! :p

After looking through multiple previous threads, I'm not so sure I want to compete, and I have more questions... I know it'd be fun, but I'm not sure I'll have the time to participate as much as I'd like to... Which would be full time. Maybe I'm just trying to say I wouldn't be interested, but I would be. I dunno, lol.

Anywho, so, looking at the old threads, in the teams you're paired with a person of the opposite class, GT300 and GT500 per team, is that still the case? Also, I was wondering about being able to run multiple race sessions per week, but I guess that's ok as long as you have the time and what not.

I thought of some other stuff to bring up while reading through the old suggestions threads, but that was a couple hours ago and I forgot, lol. It'd be really nice if there was a thread with a complete description of all the rules, and what's expected, and how everything's going to happen, but that may be a bit to ask, and if I'm in, I'll find out soon enough.

Ok, here's another question; contact with whatever, and offs are ok as long as they're not advantageous, right? I KNOW you can bounce off walls and other cars without setting off the penalty thing and be faster. So basically that's up to each's own judgement until the submission, correct? And, WOW, do you REALLY watch through EACH replay Eatsviper?(what's your real name so I don't have to refer to that long name, too, :)).

That's 7 D1 drivers so far. Not including VT who I'm sure will return.

I assume the GT500/GT300 pairings will remain. As we havn't been told otherwise. And yes, you can run 6 trillion races if you wanted to as long as you submit before the deadline.

We race with penalties on, sure someone could turn them off if they were so inclined, but you really have to trust people. EV4L isn't going to watch 20+ hour long replays to look for offs/AI hits whatever. If a time is out of the oridinary, a replay can be requested.

If you doubt you won't have enough time to fully commit and race from the start until the end do not apply.

A team will still consist in one GT500 driver and one GT300 driver.

The appreciation/comments/suggestion thread is up so we can get the general opinion of everyone before finalizing the rules and settings for S2. The official thread for S2 should be done in about 2-3 weeks.

Oh and I really like the mature crowd showing interest in this series, gives good hope that everyone will stick around for the entire season. :) What we are primarily looking for is quality over quantity.

If you would, maybe there's a "Whatever You Can Get Away With" Championship Series out in the Cosmos somewhere.

Most certainly not, I'm just trying to get a more filling idea of this series before I sign up.

I'll have to talk with my roommate(who own's the GT4 and PS2) before I can commit, but I think I'm willing to make it happen. I'd much rather run full-time than part-time, so... We'll see. I might end up buying my own PS2 and GT4 just to make sure I can get this done every week.

Thanks.I told my buddy this racing-serie and he is very interested.Can he join?As I see, ideally I can use this car.In the past events some of the drivers used it.How will I get the options about my car's weight and horsepower before the events?It's not clear for me.
