JGTC S3 Application Thread (GT500 spots open only)

How will I get the options about my car's weight and horsepower before the events?It's not clear for me.

At the beginning of the series, EV4L, tests all the cars and assigns them starting HP and Weight figures, so they all are equal. After every race you get extra weight for the next track based on your position. For example, if you come 1st, you might get +5 weight for the next race; 10th you might get -5. The power stays consistant for the entire season.

There is a board at the beginning of each Race/Qualifing week, that shows how much power/weight everyone is on that week.

I would just like to start testing, so I can see what I would like to drive for the series.

And how do the number's get allocated, does it go on the number GT4 has given them, or is the number picked by yourself?

Just ran the ASL Arta Garaiya '03 round Apricot Hill a'la Wk9's race.
42 laps,AI+10 & RM's
No Aids, Rm's all round, forced pit etc.
283 Hp & 1023 Kg (pretty much the same as Drew's ride, just for the comparison)
1st attempt:-

Would have came in second by fractions, well under 60 mins (59'56ish)

Pits were laps 11,22,33

Well happy, gonna run a couple of the GT500 class cars and see how I fair!

The drivers lineup is slowly looking better and better. 👍 On the positive side, still alot of time to show interest so I hope a couple more will do so.

Hey Curtis, wanna be my teammate? I'll race all the time if you promise to race all the time... And when'd you turn 19? I thought you were like 16-17 or something when I first met you last fall or summer or whatever it was, lol! I think I'm going to have to buy a PS2 for this, my roommate is on his most of the time when I have the time to play, which isn't enough. I'll make time for it though.

If it's like last year, you don't get to pick your teammate. The teams are more or less balanced to stop one from dominating. The fastest GT500 qualifier is paired with the slowest Gt300 driver, not a set rule, but it's like that.

I've decided that I can't devote as much time to season 2 as I have to season 1. So, in the interests of fairness to any prospective team-mate (as well as keeping on ev4l's good side) I've decided to come back as a part time driver only. I would love to be full time, especially as it seems we'll have a very good crowd this time around, but it's simply not possible.

EDIT: I should make it clear that I will try to compete every week, but with my current RL situation I can't make a 3 to 6 month commitment to race week in, week out.

Yep. Heck, round 10 is still going on right? I think I'll do that one too.

Sorry I didn't get around to more races. However, thats why I'm a part time driver. :indiff:

you can have the same car. not exactly the same, but if he picks, lets say, a mobil one NSX ´01 you pick the Locitite NSX ´01... same car, just a different color scheme.

and yes, that takata car you drove needed a bit more HP...

we are close to 30 drivers.:dopey: this is good. the only bad thing is that it will be much harder to win with aliens like you two in the field... but bring it on!:trouble:
 
It will be difficult for me to get some points in the championship,but on the other hand, the easiest way to learn and pick up a little more speed is to drive hard races LIKE THIS ONE and to compete with hard racers LIKE YOU ARE.I'm waiting the fight...It will be a great fun.

Just so everyone is aware, this is an application thread, not a team thread and not a car thread either. So let's all be patient for a couple of days and very soon you'll know all the rules & settings and the main system for S2. :)

hOt6o4bOi there's no problem at all if you want to be full-time, if you tell me you'll stick around from the start until the end it's all good. Like fasj6418 said you can't have the exact same car but you can have the same model and of the same year, so it's pretty much the same car!!! But there's no such thing as quitting because you can't beat holl01 or whatever, if you say you will finish the entire season all is good and right away I'll enter you full-time with a teammate. :)
