And yeah, that is pretty slow. But are we talking tenths slow or seconds slow? I hope not seconds, cause that would be a real kick in the nuts!
Well, I'm not sure how to answer that. I can tell you, from my perspective, it's not multiple seconds faster. I hope that's not too much information.

Oh, and I thought you were responding to me with that "I call your bluff, n00b" thing... Hahaha, nice.

I can never tell when you're serious eats!!! If thats a slow GT300 time, I'm taking my ball and going home!!!
Let's just say, the GT300 time will most definitely be faster than that.

I finished qualifying I think.Today I received ev4l's mail about the change of the rules and points.I did the qualification with the "old tyre rule",with RS tires and got no time to do it again on RSS.Don't laugh at my score when you finally see it on the weekend.No hope for me being in the top10.

Just a quick note to whoever is gonna check PAL replays for EV4L!

Please be aware that in the replay splash-screen before the replay actually starts, the HP of the GT300 Asparadrink RX7 shows as 316 HP not 315!

It's not the only one. A lot of cars show a diferent value in the splash screen. For example, the '00 and '01 Supras also show a diferent value

yeah i did the challenge race but i comfortably beat the time i set then... won't be the fastest coz i know i dropped a tenth or two but it is still a good lap for me... :)

Maybe... But wasn't that the race where we all used JGTC NSX's or something? And you just happened to pick the one that was faster than all the others? Or was this before that race. I can't remember... :sly:

I went at my lap this morning for about 10 minutes before I had to leave for work... I got a faster third section, but couldn't get my first section fast enough to get a better overall lap. If I'm not too tired, I hope to put it all together tonight and be done with qualifying... Maybe. :) I'm going to try for points, but I don't know if my car's fast enough, we shall see!

But if he can't drive the car, he won't gain any weight, but loose weight. That's the way the system works does it not? :P

And Eats, I love my car, I just don't know if it's the fastest around Midfield with all the cars at their current settings on RSS tires. With me driving... ;) What car are you in again? I'll have to go look...

I beat evils old GT300 time but i found the honda loses its advantage on this track as it isn't turbocharged like the other GT300 cars. O well just have to see how i go.

Beat the 2005 time AND my personal goal, so quite happy!

Well, my car's not turbocharged either, but I don't think it necessarily gives much up... I thought it would, but I have a feeling it's not giving up that much. Heck, on Fuji in season one, it took first and second place!(my car...)

About my qual. time... I was too tired last night to get anything done, but tonight I'm going to hook up the DFP that I've only used twice(and only once was I fast with it compared to the DS2), and try to be even smoother and faster. I have another line to try out for the last sharp turn before the main straight, and then I need to try out another line for the sweeper before T2... We'll see if I can improve though, cause my current lap is pretty fast... :sly: (for this car, of course)

I'm curious, Eats, do you use DS2 or the DFP? I'd assume the DFP would make the tires last longer in the races too... Oye. Do I want to do that? I'll have to try I guess. Maybe.
 
Mine's not turbo-charged either.

It does feel a little 'lazy' because of it, especially out of the hairpin, but the upside is that it doesn't fry the rears. So, I can put one stop softer tyres on the back and that helps keep the oversteer to a minimum.
Even with that config, it does wear the fronts 'slightly' quicker than the rears.

But I'm happy with that, as it's 'safer' to have understeer when the tyres are going off than oversteer. Maybe not quite as quick, but the potential for 360's over the crest just before the hairpin is vastly reduced.

Swings and roundabouts then!

Oh, and yes Kyle, the DFP will make you smoother. And should help you to conserve the tyres.

But ,IMO, the hairpin is more difficult to get right, but maybe that's just me?

I'm assuming that the non-turbo cars have approximately the same bhp levels as the turbo cars, right? From that I would then come to the conclusion you non-turbo guys would have better torque bands, helping you with the hairpin.

Just a thought from an impartial observer,

After reading IncemanGER's post, I felt the need to clarify what I meant. I was just responding to the messages I had interprated. I thought the general idea amongst non-turbo guys was, they were at a power disadvantage. Guess not though.
 
It's not all about horsepower. Handling, the track and of course the weight are big factors you should include to your analysis.
