JGTC S3 Round 2 Race + Results

:crazy: Egads, looks like i'm not the only one w/ prob's in this race. Ran a clean race though, no penalties and no real offs. Still prob. will be a minute and a half back from any other non NXS racer.:yuck:

i was over the moon with the first race that i did, only to find that i had tyre wear on Mild and not Strong!!! had to go and redo the race again, also meant i had to change my tyre strategy, cost me 16 seconds overall, but i am still pretty happy with what i finally submitted... ran a 4 stopper like this RM/RM/RM/RS/RS (had the same tyres on the front and rear whenever i was out - mine has nice and consistent wear which is a bonus)

D'oh!

Same strategy for me too, but with soft rears.
8 laps from medium fronts and 6 from softs.

Hated the track at first, but it sort of grew on me. It'll never be a favorite, but not as bad as it was.

I don't hate it, but I don't like it.

I did 4 stops too, but always medium, because they didn't last more than 6 laps (they were orange at the end of 6th lap)

I didn't vote for it and I started out hating it, but after 100 laps or so it does grow on you!!
 
I've never been able to drive it consistently... But, after two weeks, I can... :sly:

But, I don't think that necessarily means fast... Cause eats kicked my a$$ when he tried it.
 
I admit, I voted for the track
Ran a 4 stopper... RS-RM-RS-RM-RM-RS... RS on rear all stops
On the last pit, wanted just a splash-one bar of gas-RL happened...sat there until full :ouch: lost all that time :ouch: :guilty: :crazy: never mind the slow laps :dunce: .... got 4 laps w/RS 6w/RM's .... sticky shift paddles cost me :grumpy: all in all..... not happy with the time :grumpy: had "mitigating circumstances" rattling around in my head.

Oh, make that 3 stopper and fastest lap of 1'51.045... :sly: RM/RS tires for each stint, 7/8/8/7... Fastest lap was 28th.
 
If everyone is in agreement, I say we start posting our times here and build a provisional results table (as already suggested by someone else). Submission is closed so theoretically there is no reason to keep times to ourselves. This is seriously cutting into qualy time for Monaco and having an idea of weight penalty would be good right now.
 
Agreed. I'm pretty sure Eats has already said in the past it's fine to post stuff after the deadline has passed anyway.

Like I said, I did a 3 stopper, best lap of 1'58.045, total time was 58'06.427.

Damn it, 53'19.992 with a best lap of 1'41.408. I ran a 4-stop strategy.

Nicely done boys 👍 I still maintain my car is a fraction down on pace, but we'll see if it has some kind of handling advantage when we hit Monaco (I'm not holding my breath :nervous: ).
