JGTC S3 Round 3 Qualif + Results

Time submitted from me!

Have managed to take a half second off my best lap today, fairly happy.

Hope it stands up?

Nice cockpit Mate! Wouldn't suit me cos my ps2 is hooked up to my pc, and I use the wheel clamped to the desk with an exec recliner to sit in. But it is a BEAUT!

*NEW RULES* : Deadline is now at 9:00PM EST to ensure the results will go up on the very same day.
Same day eh? Lol, just giving you a hard time. It does seem you've been a bit busy of late though, what're you up to my man? I thought your birthday was Thursday? :sly:

Please excuse me if I'm getting annoying, it's a habit of mine.

Yes I went out tonight, couple beers you know the drill. :sly:

Results are in the making. :)

Oh and I pulled my qualif time by using the rumble strips at Loews and catching some air to please the crowd. Yes I could go faster (in fact I did) but this run was much more cooler.

Lol, niiiiice :) I did the beers thing last night. Now I need to go to bed so I can get up early to make it over to my parent's house for mother's day breakfast... *sigh* I'm going to be soo tired. I have to stay up for the results of course... :sly:

 what an incredibly crappy time from me

Congrats to the pole sitters, oh and Mr. Hotboi, you've been offered a drive in Formula 1, please leave the JGTC to us mortal-folk :sly:

OMG! I nearly killed myself going from a 1'30.114 to a 1'29.787 and it didn't really matter at all...

im teh suXz0r

I'm quite happy to not be last, but I did a not so bad S1 and S2, but a bad S3

Good luck for the race

Congrats to both hOt6o4bOi and Ricfight on nailing the pole! :)

GT300 up to date :

S2000 is there
Altezza also
Cusco same
RE Amemiya is freaking back
ASL Arta in the game also

Everyone is competitive until the end of the season. Let the best driver win. 👍

Well I have to say that I am now very happy with my time!

Seems that I need to work on the final sector a little still, I'm sure that the slight mistake I had at Tabac was my downfall and lost me a little time.
But to have the fastest first sector, the 4rd fastest second (all within .3), and then be 5th(.6 down) at the line is as good result, for me at least.

I really like Monaco!

Perverse, init?

Here's my PAL replay for any that want to watch it!

sheesh talk about getting my ass handed to me, i thought there was another 0.3 a sector in it for myself, but that still wouldn't have gotten me close enough to pole...

I'm very happy to be 4th again, with -1,+7 and only time for an hour to get that lap done ! I'm busy as hell right now and trying to catch some sleep in my little free time. Congrats to the pole sitters !!!
8:40 in the morning.....going to bed now !

 to Hot and Ric - well done gentlemen 👍
I figured the pole to be around :28.xxx, as I said, I love the track, just not fast around it :indiff: - doesn't bode well for the race :grumpy: - but still having fun :dopey:

Hey guys. Stupid me. I forgot to submit my time before I went out last night, and I ended up being late. It was quick too, sorta. It could have been faster, but well, that wasn't good enough.

Grats to hOt6o4bOi and Ricfight on poles. Grats to my teammate on a good solid qualification this week too. 👍

Once more, great time, hot ("Legal mesmo!!!")!

And a special one to my team mate, with his pole. Great work!

2nd +0.180

go sleep now :)
My internet was basically dead by the time you posted that! I actually got too tired anyway and went to bed like 5 minutes earlier. Then, this morning when I got up, my internet wouldn't work AT ALL! So now I'm over at the parents house on their computer, lol.

YAY! I'm glad with my lap, almost killed myself though trying to get it. I had a 1'28.935 that I got earlier in the week, then it turned out that I dropped .7 in one frame somewhere in there, so I had to go chasing after a more clean version. Finally got it about 40 minutes before submission time(otherwise would've submitted a 29.292), so that made me feel better.

Nice and close there Nuvo! 👍

Well done Curtis! Continuing to smoke it up there... I guess they can't make you slow enough, eh? Nice first there too Ricfight! Right up top!

I can't really complain about taking third this week in light of how I qualified last week! Especially being +6% losing to a -3%, but I've gotta say once again - awesome lap Curtis!! Amazing speed ESPECIALLY at +8% and down power... Not worthy!!

I'll take my two point and hope for the best in the race.

Nice and close there Nuvo! 👍

Does that mean we're friends again after my complaining about all that jive sector time stuff?

Seriously though, you wouldn't mind disclosing what kind of gearing you were using, would you?

I can't believe mine is really optimal considering a few of the bends. But I just couldn't come up with anything that would get me around quicker. The one lap was nice but I couldn't get close to it with any other setup, and I dislike banging the gears off the turns.

Now I'm questioning my tire testing numbers. It seems like at Monaco the ___ er tires are more productive than I would have thought.

Hmmm........

👍 I never knew we weren't friends really, I just assumed you liked to work by yourself...

I used 260 gearing for that lap time. I originally started with 250, but ended up using 260 because I could stay in some gears longer, farther out of the turns, and on some of the straights.

And you?

I will remember it !!!
Thank you all guys.
I'll try to keep the good speed at race.

I just say that I really love Mónaco.
One day I'm going to buy a house there,Yes I will.

And you?

260 probably would have been the better choice for qualifying, since I was screaming it on the rev limiter before the right hander coming under the bridge. I'm still unhappy with the rpm's coming throught the swimming pool section.

And Gasometer still ain't right.........

What gearing did you use? I might try out even lower gearing now... That's what Scott(shigspeed) did and bettered my time by over a half a second, on my FASTER lap.

BTW, I used 230 kph top speed and RSS/RS to run 1'28.479 in the Altezza set up to KLRs specs.

RS on back? Iiiinteresting! Now stop bragging. And dayum. That's very interesting. Shows that this car may like softer tires up front in general, and I'm basically forced to use a harder compound up front for most of these races because of how fast it eats through the tires. Coolio. :)

You're my hero.

Aw shuttup guys... You KNOW Dan or Curtis could break off a 1'27 in their sleep. I just happened to have the cockpit set up and some free time to tinker. I like the GT300 style of driving a lot! Wish I could play, but I have to be humbled every week by the divinely inspired...

As for tire stagger, I like more oversteer in general so I tend to set up my cars that way or in arcade mode, have to stagger tire compounds to get the same result. Even on my GT500 car I run one tick softer up front. It SUCKS when I drive RH though since I can't run RSH out back.

Always fun to drive "other peoples' cars" though. Just like at the real track on the weekends...

You're a real man, you are. And so fast......

Are we going to stop this? It doesn't look like the good old JGTC I know...
