Don't you worry about me in this race ! Up and down the hills....and the HP cap plus the weight ! Easy quali for me......
 
Hmm... Haven't raced with that area being legal before, guess I'll have to spend some time learning it... Should come up with a decent result me thinks if I can find the time... :sly:
 
That's an unusual legal area, like Kyle said I have never used it in WRS so it will be a learning curve.

Plus lost some weight, and love the track. So should be a fun fortnight!

Just done 25 laps and now scratching around for thousandths already!
With the grip of these JGTC cars on uber-softs the legal concrete area isn't worth a great deal of time really, so I can now see why Eats has allowed it! However the concrete in the tunnel would make for a much easier line through the tunnels themselves so I can also see why that section is illegal too!

Took a few laps on the track - and yes, it's a bit different than WRS, but WRS doesn't have 5 other cars running around the track either ! LOL I'm just glad that I've got the earlier part, section 1 area to run. The other part isn't much of a problem because of the line that I run through there.

Anyway - just wanted to give notice that the old man is around once again. I'd also like to add my congrats to those that are still around 👍 I still think it's the best long series around 👍 just wish I had a chance to have made a run at the points race.

Spent a little time running the qual last night, still need to drop a bit more time - the race, this track just burns the right front :( ... and the pit lane goes on forever :crazy: - never mind the fact that I've lost a lost of "feel" from not being behind the whell all this time... still looking forward to it though 👍
 
Did some quali laps last night. I totally feel the horsepower and weight penalties on this track. I'm 1+ sec. of the pace for sure. I Like this track. Using the pavement @ turn 4 helped allot. It was upsetting the car very badly before.

while I'm not nearly in a situation where things are back to normal, I'm at least able to be here :) and racing once again.

Also like to toss out a 👍 to Eats' for understanding that life sometimes takes a bite out of our ass. I was able to at least give him the heads up of what was about to happen to me, that I didn't have a team anymore, and that I was coming back, even if for only a part time driver this season.

Welcome back JR! Things have been a bit quiet without you ;)

I probably won't have time to take a run at this until the weekend. RL has kicked me in the ass bigtime lately, my free time is severely limited these days. I even missed the end of the French GP (F1 is something I never miss!)
 
Finally got under the time I was shooting for, but the +4 weight and 1% HP loss is taking it's toll. I ran with a +2 and +1 HP and was little over a tenth faster then my settings. Going up the hill into the tunnel is where the lighter ghost got me.

Waaah! I've been at +9 or +10 weight since R5! :yuck: :sly:

Not to mention -1% power since R6. hehe...

I was amazed at how much time I was able to shave off of what I thought was a decent time for me, so I'm not sure when to quit now! I'd be sad to see what I could do at stock settings.

Oh well, fun track and familiar so it probably won't be too frustrating to log some laps. Just need to do tire stints and compound testing now.

p.s. Just realized... Then next heaviest in GT500 is only +3!!??!?!?!? Damn, do I have my work cut out for me or what!?
 
Shaved 2 more tenths tonight, there's still another tenth and I know where it is...I just can't grab it. Probably doesn't matter, I should have a solid 6th. place...if I'm lucky.

Hey Shig, you really do look good with that extra weight, you were looking a bit gaunt earlier....much better now :)

Time in ! Got were I wanted with my fat pig. Was a good piece of work. Minimum a second of the pace, I bet. Going to the cottage now. Back Monday.

Argh, I haven't touched this yet... I have my WRS race on and I really really like the AI that I'm up against... Don't want to turn it off! Hopefully Pat wakes up soon so I can use his playstation, haha.

taking two months from the wheel sure has shown itself...sigh
I don't think I'm going to get any quicker, which means back of the pack for me.... did some testing... but the set-up is in the garage of buddies house and it's what ? 110 outside :ouch: :crazy: .... will take a bit before I get to submit the replay and time ... need to cool off a bit first

Big trouble brewing in deepest, darkest Cumbria tonite...... Keep to the path, don't go on the moor!

Somehow, in the fits of depression about my performance this week, I (subconsciously, I think) deleted my fastest lap whilst cleaning up my memory card. Thinking it was way too slow to be deep forest.............

Bummer!:grumpy:

Now I can't match the time, by over half a second!:grumpy: :grumpy: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :grumpy: :grumpy:

I'm going to say with relative confidence that Soyfu has it in GT300 this week... If I remember correctly, you're quick in the WRS when you used to play... We were pretty close I think in the past? Anyway, that, combined with the awesome car with light weight, you'll be movin...
