ok boss,
for the mentaly impaired :dunce:
I didn't understand the a/b thing from the start, but wanted to lock in the car choice of my partner GTXDriver/Lazlo...as that was my main concern.

?? what do I/we need to do ? just different color schemes ? or do I pick a car and let him have the Supra ? .... to me it doesn't matter, as I'm the slug, just protecting his choice of rocket ships :dopey:

You guys both use the Supra '01 model but one drives the au Cerumo and the other the Castrol Tom's or the ESSO ULTRAFLO if PAL. That's all I ment by "different paint scheme.

Car's one of the slowest out of the box, but we'll see where it stands with the power/weight changes at the start of the season... Hopefully I'll be able to wring it's neck each week without too much trouble! I don't have time for trouble... Maybe I'll go practice? :sly:

You're nuts! Better hope that there's a huge power bonus under that thing this year...

Oh, and what's with the "surprise" performance specs? Kinda sucks not being able to actually test the cars, though with my schedule as it is now I wouldn't have done so anyway...

I know, I know...

But, I like the way the car looks, it eats through tires at the same pace(more understeer too, blah) and I knew no one else would use it. One benefit that I MAY have, is not having to worry about tire wear. But yeah, for qualifying, with the layout that's going to be in place(Medium tires), it very well may suck.

I'm hoping for a nice power bonus AND weight reduction... :sly:

Just making sure you saw my mention of weight decrease and power increase on my car, right?

Wait a minute... Actually... A power increase will make the car understeer even more... Crap. Maybe I don't want this car. Damnit! Life is complicated.
 
Uh... Yeah... I'm serious now. I just spent the last half an hour in the car, trying different tracks while racing against a grid. While doing this, I've found that it's going to be hard to make this car reasonably competitive. The au Cerumo that I was just racing against has more power, less weight, more torque(turbo vs NA), AND more grip from the aero/suspension advances in the newer models. Add too much power to the NSX and it throws off it's good tire wear balance. Take off too much weight and there's not enough room for weight loss throughout the season... :indiff:

I noticed that in my testing as well. It turns in really well though, but eats through front tires even faster than it's older brother, which also turns in really well.

Well, I think he's waiting on all the people who haven't chosen a car yet...

And I don't blame him for taking his time trying to figure out how to make my car competitive without making it impossible for me to take off any more weight when I need to... :sly:

Myself and CAMikaze have teamed up, but we have run into some trouble with car selection. Im waiting to hear back from my new team mate about what he thinks on our current situation. Anyways, we should have our registration thingy up within a couple of days...sorry for the hold up.

Hmm...is it really that bad? I haven't had time to test with it, but I do remember VTRacing complaining a lot about wear in season 1. He did end up winning the driver's championship though ;)

Perhaps I should reconsider my car selection...

I deeply regret to say this, and I feel like I am letting you all down, but I am going to have to pull out of this season of JGTC.

I have a few, very serious and very severe problems at home and regretfully cannot take part.
