I'll tell you one thing I've never seen the Panoz, in GT mode, that fast in any race in GT3 or GT4, usually it's one of the slowest.

I suspect this has something to do with the fact that the Panoz is mostly seen accompanied by LMPs and Group Cs - which are way too quick.
 
You hit it square on the head Gingiba now that I think of it, the Panoz is always in the faster classes. I've only driven the Panoz a few times and didn't like it, felt very heavy with poor braking, but in this Quali he used ME for brakes many times :)
 
Fast lap: 1'33.xxx

Got one penalty but it's still the fastest time of 3 runs. I'd like to see the ghost replay of whoever wins this thing... but I can't. Ghey.

Not as concerned about the race week, on the whole, the pace of the AI was at the level of me with a softer compound.
Without that advantage, I can't see there being the same 'problem' with the AI on equal tyres & +10.
If you get what I mean? (Really sore knees+2 stellas+2 'painkillers'=no concentration + short-term.........Ahem! what was I typing?:D )

Fastest lap was a 1'32.328:guilty:

No drafting possible after last lap.

Ok, nevermind. This is definitely a pain in the ass. I'm getting tossed around by the Viper, Camaro and 350Z LM car (3,2,1) in the middle of the first lap all the way until the end of the second lap where I can finally pass the 350Z by taking a better line than it on the entrance to the main straight. If I try go get around them before that, it requires lots of bumping and grinding due to the AI's lack of I.

My fastest lap is going to be in the 1'31.xxx area probably.
 
Decided to stop playing, so I gave the AI a minute head start and went at it. 1'31.308 fastest lap. Hopefully that'll get me one point to make these 4 hours of my time worth something.
 
Ok, I'm done. Maybe I should have experimented with lineups little more. Never got better than 4th place but based on the times I see posted here it's not that bad.

LOL - Kyle, I used similar strategy :-) Sick and tired of the AI I picked the fastest lineup and just followed them for 7 laps averaging low 1'32s with 1'31.725 fastest lap

Damnit! I forgot we don't win any points for fastest lap unless we get THE fastest lap. Man I'm pissed now. Especially because I sat for a minute without racing and only finished about a second behind the first place guy. F.
 
Hmm... Not too bad. After Kyle, for obvious reasons, but not too far behind. If I had the time to string together 7 penalty-free laps, I wouldn't have landed last (within the limitations). Perhaps the HIROTO wasn't such a bad pick, after all?
 
I think there might be a typo. Neil couldn't do 10'45 total with 1'32 fastest lap.
Nice lap Kyle - there is no way I could do 1'31 without a draft.
Great to see 3 RX7s in top 5 :-)
 
Hmm...didn't expect a pole here, Tokyo isn't my best track if JGTC history tells us anything. I guess I got lucky that most of you folks had more trouble with the AI :odd:

Not a typo, but a complete brain-fart by one of the old-fart's.

I am so used to taking my times off the initial splash-screen, and being in first place, that I didn't take into account the fact of my being second.

My actual time should be a 10'52.976 with the same fastest lap of 1'32.328.

Simple mistake to make, when you consider that I'm trying to remember my fastest lap, write that down, then catch the final time too.
I just didn't think about it, it's almost automatic to do it that way now. I've been doing it that way for so long now.

I almost did the same thing Neil, it is very easy to do after years of always coming in first over the AI's. Nice try anyway buddy:)
 
Ouch... Too bad. Though, it's only the qualifier, so it's not too bad then, isn't it?

I was in a bit of a problem yesterday, trying to figure out my time... It usually showed up, at least in GT Mode - so I went to the replay save menu, where I found the time.
 
LOL. I was hoping you mistyped 45 instead of 54 and I was gonna move up in points :-) You still got me by 0.1
